In fact, hard work can often create luck. The more you prepare, the more you learn, and the more you act, the more likely it is that an opportunity will appear — and when it does, you’ll be ready to seize it.
There’s also an emotional strength that comes from relying on hard work. When your achievements are built on your own efforts, they bring a deeper sense of pride and fulfillment. Luck may give temporary wins, but the confidence you gain from knowing you earned something cannot be replaced.
In the end, the question isn’t really whether hard work can beat luck, but whether you can make the most of both. If luck knocks on your door, hard work will help you open it wide. And if luck takes too long to arrive, hard work will build your own door. Success, then, is not a matter of waiting for fortune to smile — it’s about moving forward every day, so that when the right moment comes, you are more than ready to make it count.

I didn't ever know where to pitch a tent whenever I stumbled on debates about hard work and luck. Either of them could make a huge difference. But here, I quite agree with your perspective. Hardworking just seems right. With or without luck, there's something tangible there.
Yeah hardwork is the one which we can control. So focusing on what is doable is better option.
