Hello guys, hope you all are ok. Today I would like us to look at different decisions one can make and how it affects one, positively or negatively.
Sometimes, what might actually be holding us back in life is because we haven't done what we are supposed to do and what is that? DECISION
This will lead me to tell this short story.
There was a young boy who was very intelligent but find it hard to bend down and study, but, what disturbed his mother the most was his way of life and the kind of friends he kept. His mother has seriously warned him to stay away from his friends, that they will not add anything good to his future but will rather destroy it. The boy was warned and warned but he didn't heed to his mother's advise. He started to play truancy, steal from his mother, classmates and other people. His character worsened when he entered senior secondary school two (ss2).
It happened that he was watching a movie with his mother and the movie portrayed his entire character. He felt really bad. Throughout the night, he didn't sleep at all. He thought about how bad he had lived his life and took a DECISION never to live a bad life again. The next morning his mother was very astonished by his son. Not only did he greet her properly but also carried out some house chores before going to school. The teachers and his classmates were surprised by the sudden change in his attitude. His friends came to him as usual, to leave the school, but, he shouted at them telling them not to come near him again which they did. He became very serious with his studies. He continued until he wrote his final exams as a secondary school student and graduated as the best student with the best result in his school and got scholarship to study any course of his choice in the university.
He studied law and later graduated. His mother was very happy. Nobody knew who or what changed him, but, he knew that it was his DECISION that changed him. This decision changed the young man for good and this is the kind of decision that is expected from us.
Sometimes, words alone doesn't work but a short decision can change a person entirely. The question there is, DID YOUR DECISION AFFECT YOU POSITIVELY OR NEGATIVELY?
Those that decided to imitate others that live a rugged life will end up ruining their life, unlike those whose decision positively influences both them and people around.
Decision is not an easy task but if we set our mind towards it, we will get to make it. Decision making is not all, but what you will achieve through it.
