Currently, the only holiday I can afford in my life with my current account balance is one to my fathers house where I wouldn’t have to spend a dime. Site seeing? Don’t worry, there’s a lot to see in my fathers house.
No cap, the economy is ripping our heads off and people are working tirelessly day and night just to be able to sustain themselves on the daily basis. Looking back, I miss those days in primary school when all I had to do was tell my parents and they’d pay for my school sight seeing event being organized. It was fun being able to spend time out of the classroom space with my friends and what made it better was that, it wasn’t my money.😂 Today, even if I should ask my parents to pay for my trip, I’m not sure they’d be down to pay it fully, maybe 50/50 but that’s still a cool deal.
They say all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy and this lady here needs a lot of play. Since the year began, I haven’t even had a minute to myself to think about my life. I’m always up to this or that because this year isn’t for play. In the future when I make it in life, someone should even by mistake say a man picked me from the gutter and made me who I am today and we will meet each other in court. But that’s not the discussion for today, my dear ones.
I get that working hard for a better life is good because no one is going to do it for you. But that doesn’t mean you should work yourself to death. Take breaks, they’re very necessary. I for one love vacations and anything that will help me de-stress. This weekend for instance, I was supposed to hang out with my friends as they’ve planned this for a long time. And do you know what my answer was? It was a simple ‘I have work tomorrow but I’d try to come.’ Those words coming out of my mouth felt like a knife had just been stabbed into my heart but yeah, we need to do the necessary.
It’s actually been a while I went for a vacation because even last December was a busy one for me. Currently, it doesn’t look like I have any free days in the coming month aside of first Mays holiday so I might probably have to plan something out of that because I actually need to release some stress and have some fun. It doesn’t have to be a week long vacation, even a one day road trip or hang out would do for me. My friends are already planning something and I’m hoping it actually comes on and we are all able to make it on that day.
I’d really love to get out of this working space,eat some junk food, laugh and even dance because why not? All our hardwork is to be able to live well and we actually deserve a little break for all our efforts. Hopefully, May first would meet me in good health and wealth and I’d be out in my 100 percent spirit and aura to have fun.
