Greetings!
The rural-urban migration has been something that has been in existence for a very long time and i can boldly tell us that it's not abating anytime soon, reason being that people believe that life is in the city.
Having said this, I would like to respond to the topic of the prompt which is about urban or rural. Before I proceed I would like to let us know that the urban settlement is the city where we have the social amenities. It's a place populated by the elites in the society unlike the rural area which is less developed with social amenities and occupied by farmers and locals.
Looking at these two places, one would know that the first is where people would love to live and be, although the urban or city also comes with its disadvantages of stress and violence, but it's a place everyone would love to be.
However, as local as a rural area could be, there's this kind of a communal life in the rural area which helps in signifying peaceful co-existence and mutual living, but as peaceful the rural community might be, not everyone is interested in staying behind, rather people tends to migrate to city for a greener pasture.
Now, for someone like me, if I'm so blessed to the extent that I have everything needed at my own disposal, I would still go ahead in living in the city rather than opting for the village reason being that, there are many opportunities in the city when compared to the rural settlements and since I would also consider my children and other members of my family who would also love to pursue their dreams in the opportunity filled city, then i would prefer staying behind in the city than than going rural.
Furthermore, I'm this kind of a person that loves to explore and since one can have full exploration in the city, then i would like to choose the urban area over the rural where one can only explore on the farm compared to what's obtainable in the city.
Another thing is that, it's possible to build on someone wealth in the city than the rural area, although, there are also numerous ways of building one's wealth in the rural settings, but to me it can be compared to the city where exposure to new opportunities and people thrives daily and even with the thriving opportunities, one can seriously build an empire and become self sufficient through their investments.
However, it's not as if the rural setting is not good. I can boldly say that the rural setting is equally a better place to be as many of our living comes from the rural area. It's in the rural area that most of the food we eats comes from, no doubts about that, even the country agricultural economy is from the rural area and for me, i would always love to visit the rural area with my family, but one thing is that, i would never consider it as a home or abode due to the many opportunities in the city.
In conclusion, the two settings are better places to be, but it all depends on our choices as individuals.

Well, both places are actually good but there are advantages and disadvantages. If you are talking about diverse and better opportunities, I think that can be found in the city compared to the village.
Both rural and urban have their use cases, I have experienced living in both and somehow I find city life very stuffy. It also depends on a person's area of interest in terms of utilising opportunities.
