The Hive Bootcamp is focused on equipping newbies with the necessary information and tools. By enlightening them on what Hive is all about, do's and don'ts, and how to grow, their learning curve should improve significantly, and they should perform much better and struggle less from the moment they are onboarded throughout their journey on Hive.
Hive Bootcamp session five focuses mainly on FORMATTING POSTS and ENGAGEMENT. This session was led by @olujay. In this session, he concentrated on how to properly construct posts and develop them in such a manner that they have high quality, both in terms of aesthetics and quantity. He also talked about tools that could help them improve the quality of their posts, as well as those that could help them track their progress.
One of the biggest topics here on Hive is "engagement". This is so because the rule of life here on Hive is simple; to grow, engagement is essential. And to do this efficiently, one must understand what it means to engage and how to engage. Most Hive newcomers have prior experience with other social media platforms. The experience they have is usually inadequate on the subject of engagement. This is why we have tailored this program to tackle that and ensure that they know better from their first day on Hive.
The outline for this video is:
- PARAGRAPHING
- MARKDOWNS
- IMPORTING IMAGES
- WRITING NICHES
- SOURCING CONTENTS
- ENGAGEMENT

Wow, @olujay did a wonderful job in handling this topic. Watching the screen he shared with the participants, it's so explicit 👌 and I believe this will go a long way in helping the newbies to achieve a good format and presentable post.
Talking about engagement, its benefit to the growth in this blockchain can never be overemphasized. It's the key to unlocking our growth here gradually.
Finally, Weldon guys...this mission is overloaded with quality info for the newbies and I hope they will utilize this undiluted knowledge 👍
I like your point of view, it's so brilliant!!
Thanks!
🤝
We hope that our efforts go a long way toward making the journey for the newbies as smooth as possible and that they take advantage of the opportunity they have.
Visibility is dependent on engagement. You must come out and interact in order to be seen. And engagement is a concept that cannot be overstated when it comes to growing on Hive.
Thank you for your encouraging and kind words.
You have just nailed the point.
For you to be visible, you gotta engage
That's absolutely right Joe, you guys have taken out time to do an a-z tutorial on all any newbie needs to grow, I just hope they do not take it for granted because this is a life saving knowledge.
I love the way you explained the aspect of engagement it made it more clearer to me too. We have to say something to be heard, we can't stay quiet and expect our voice to be heard.
I really hope they don't take everything we do for them for granted, because they are truly enlightened in ways that many of us were not when we first started out.
Engagement is critical, but many people are unaware of this. Many newbies fail to recognize this for a long time, stifling their growth. Hopefully, they will take advantage of this information and improve their learning curve on Hive.
Yeah, I hope they don't. Well one thing is certain, someone will surely learn from this program and make you guys proud.
I made that mistake too when I started but I corrected it as soon as I learned of the benefits.
That is the goal. At that point, he/she will be making Hive proud.
We hope that our efforts go a long way toward making the journey for the newbies as smooth as possible and that they take advantage of the opportunity they have.

More grease to your elbows 👍❤
I'm really so proud of these guys, they are doing a really great job, they deserve a treat 😁😁.
Na wa oo, @olujay how did you do it? You spoke for almost an hour 😩😩. Sometimes I will be asking myself if I will be able to speak for such a long time to the camera because I see it as something really hard abeg.
I want to say a very big well done to you, this has been the longest video and you were the speaker, this only proves that you are not just a good engager in writing but also in words.
You've said a lot of things and I have learned something new and that's the aspect where you talked on paragraphing and spamming. I think I'm sometimes guilty of spamming but I will do well to stop that now.
You've spoken so well on the aspect of engagement and I will not want to say much on it, I will just want to advise that one way to be a really good engager is by visiting everyone that took the time to leave a meaningful reply to your comment section, it really makes them want to come back next time.
You guys are doing really well with this boot camp and I am really happy I get to Learn too, thank you for giving your precious time to teaching us 🙏❤️.
Believe me, I did not intend to speak for that long. I did not even think I could do much of the speaking that I eventually did. It was my first time doing so.
I would like to say a very big thank you for appreciating the effort we have put in. But when it comes to engagement, really, you are the real queen. I take cues from you, you know.
Now, this is what I am talking about; taking cues from you . This is really good advice, and I will try to keep it in mind more often.
And I am glad that you were able to pick up a few things from this tutorial and that you have even contributed to it. Thank you, @hopestylist.
I understand that kind of thing, it happens to everyone and I'm so proud of you, your first time and it was as if it's what you do every day, really impressive!!!.
Hmm, that aspect of engagement is one thing that makes Hive really fun to be and I'm just having a lot of fun leaving a comment wherever I find myself, lol. You are doing really well too, it's just that you are sometimes busy but I gat you Joe 🥰.
Hehehe, that's so sweet of you to say, I'm really happy you think it is a good advice, let's just keep having fun engaging with everyone and ourselves 😁😁.
You're always welcome dear, thank you too ❣️❣️.
Aww... thank you.
I am so sorry about that. You know how life can be sometimes.
These your kind words really do well in encouraging me.
Thank you for always rooting for me.
I understand you Joe, don't worry just keep doing what you can, I'm sure the rest will fall in place for you.
Yes oo, rooting for you is becoming an hobby now because I'm liking it 🤩🤩.
I say a big "amen" to that!
haha...
I legit just had a big smile
Yeah, please keep that smile 🤗🥰.
You just be making me smile.
Thank you!
I'm so glad I could 🥰.
You are always welcome dear.
I’m particularly interested in the markdowns part of this session. Thanks and keep the doing what you do:)
I should thank @olujay.. He did the tutorials. He is a badass you know! you should check his blog and see how he makes awesome markdowns.
Oh trust me I know he is:) I follow him.
Yeah, I agree with you, there are times when I just go through his posts just because of how beautiful it is before I read them, lol.
Thank you, brother.
I learned from one of the best, you.
Yeah, that aspect of markdown Joe nailed it 💯.
Mmm Olujay is called Joe huh?
Hehehe, yes he is 🤩🤩.
Engagements on here can’t ever lose its value in an ecosystem such as Hive . For a new comer getting onboard on Hive , being actively involved in engagement with other teeming users is more or less a ritual.
