πββοΈ Hello Hive community! Welcome to my world. I'm incredibly excited to finally land on the Hive platform. My name is Ikwuoma Winifred Diala also known as Winanda which is my Hive username. So dive in friends, you will love to know more about me.

I hail from the south eastern part of Nigeria, a petroleum engineering graduate from Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo state, Nigeria who has embraced her passion for baking and cooking. My journey to the baking and curlinary world began with a beautiful experience and experiment π I carried out with my siblings which I will share in my next post, so friends, follow and stay connected with me to watch out for it and more π.
During my university days, I did a bit of the baking business though it was more of a hobby than a business (another story to be told) and was fun, satisfied the tastebuds of others, brought smiles to faces which left me fulfilled.
I have always wanted to put myself before the society professionally as well as train and inspire a lot of people around the world on the knowledge I have acquired so far and my creativity in the baking and curlinary field, touching lives, bringing out the best version in people and helping them to build a positive mindset as well.
So, after my university education and serving my country for one year as a mathematical teacher in a secondary school (high school), the job search began and when I couldn't get a job in the oil and gas industry, I decided to search for other jobs to have work experience and was fortunate to get one and worked as a Customer Service Representative in a multipurpose social centre (comprised of guest rooms, event halls, conference and seminar rooms, hospital, medical laboratory, restaurant/bar, basketball court, a gym, library, ICT centre) for a year and eight months.
Before the job and during the job, I signed up for professional trainings/courses in cake baking and decorating of which one of the courses had a cookery course (though had knowledge of most of the recipes in the cookery course but learnt new stuffs as well) added to it and received certificates including the masters certificate from Knightsbridge PME Schools of Confectionery Arts UK for a cake decorating diploma course. I have also worked as an independent travel agent affiliated to Wakanow and Konga travel and tours and still doing that presently as a side hustle.
I am the founder and creative director of the brand Winanda's World and the products are beautifully baked plain cakes, decorated cakes for all occasions, healthy foods, healthy drinks (roselle drink-Zobo, tigernut drink, smoothies), snacks, cookies, chin-chin, fruit and nut parfait, cake parfait and more. I do this with love and have my customers' satisfaction at heart.
Now let's move to what my life is like outside my chef life, shall we? π
Yes! You already know I love baking and cooking healthy dishes but you don't know that while doing so, I listen to music and dance at times π but when I'm not listening to music, I sing and can get inspired and compose a song on the spot. When that happens, I reach out for my phone to record the tune even when I don't have all the lyrics yet so that I don't forget the flow of the song. When I am done cooking, I am moved to practice plating and food photography before I can gently enjoy my meal ππ
I love writing, it could be lyrics of songs I'm composing, it could be motivational quotes or wisdom quotes which pop up in my head, about love, could be ideas about becoming better, could even be anything and I'm moved to pen down. I love imparting knowledge, visiting new places, meeting new people, exploring and discovering new things, helping people and putting smiles on their faces.
O! I love seeing movies and whenever I really want to enjoy it, I grab a bowl of popcorn πΏ or ice cream and put on the dim ceiling light π, cool right? Some other edibles I love to take when seeing movies are cakes, cookies, chocolates, nuts, yoghurt, apple, sweets... I am allowed to have a sweet treat right π? Romantic movies, action, horror, sci-fiction, musicals, comedy and drama are movies I love to see. I wouldn't mind seeing a series as long as it's interesting.
I love to play games and play with children. Volleyball and basketball are games I enjoy playing and many more. Oh! I can't skip I love to exercise to keep fit and I may not be able to share all I love to do in this post but as days go by, they'll unfold.
I intend to add great value to the Hive platform by meeting new people, connecting with them and teaching my recipes, inspiring people with my motivational quotes, life experiences that can change one's life, singing songs to console and lift up souls, giving support and advice. I'm glad knowing that I can do all these on Hive platform and also connect with others who share the same ideas, who love and do what I do and others who are willing to learn from me.
I got to know about Hive platform from a very good friend of mine @onos-f who referred me to @starstrings01 who put me through and also @olujay and @monioluwa who assisted. I got interested after he introduced it to me and I saw some of his posts and songs @onos-f which are really lovely. My desire to impart knowledge and touch lives and earn while doing so, led be to HIVE platform.
I am really amazed and grateful for meeting @starstrings01, @olujay and @monioluwa who took out time to teach me all how to get started on Hive platform. The sessions were really helpful. Practicing it will make more sense because it will enable me carry out a practical experience of creating contents here. I really appreciate you all @starstrings01, @olujay and @monioluwa and not forgetting @onos-f who has always believed in me. You all need a big hug π€
Finally, I can't wait to connect with you all and begin my journey here. It really took me time to hop in here but I'm glad my jet arrived and I finally made it here safely π.

It's true that some people complain about how stressful and difficult baking is but once you love doing something and you know the tips and tricks, you'll enjoy it.
