In April, yellow flowers reigned supreme in my garden. Check out this gallery of the recently flowering plants gracing my grounds.

Black Currants are one of the first flowering shrubs. Blooms are pure yellow trumpets at first.

The blooms open widest in the bright morning light. Small insects sometimes hide inside the inner flower as the petals shrink in the late afternoon to provide a cozy way to protect against the cold night wind.

As the petals mature, a berry red ring appears. The nectar sweetens as well.

Tulips

The yellow tulip is not my favorite color of tulip honestly, however...

The sunlight and the shadows will lift out some colors far beyond any ordinary yellow.

Rosemary

Lastly I wanted to share the rosemary shrub in bloom. Young shrubs often do not bloom at all, so now that mine is developing lavender flowers, that tells me the wood and roots are maturing.

As the leaves develop the tinge of fire grilled pineapple and mango barbeque hues, the flowers balance on high poles, like balloons that popped while frozen from the icy air.

Even the scent of the charred citrus leaves with the peppery sweet flowers provides a welcome contrast for this unusually cold and wet time of year.

The rains are worth it when it brings with it the fulfilled promises of many colors.

Yellow flowers are such happy flowers. What a spectacular show of yellow you have @creativetruth! The rainbow is the cherry on the top!

Those tulips are so lovely in the sun!

Nice rainbow to finish up post. Fits the narrative and photos both 🙂 Love the currant blooms. I planted raspberries and blueberrys. Now I'm thinking I should have got some currants 🤔 Excellent tulip shot! Rosemary looks very healthy. We have some lavender that is coming up nicely this spring. Your posts are always a good read and nicely illustrated.

Dear @creativetruth, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got an important support from the community. However, it lost its funding few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency,

Hive.blog / https://wallet.hive.blog/proposals
or using HiveSigner.

Your support would be really helpful and you could make the difference! Thank you!

The Tulips are my favorites here. They are so healthy and the color is so rich. Very nice.

Two Questions
Did you know you can post in Flower Pictures Community?

Did you know that you can earn extra rewards from those Flower Community posts by posting the link to it in LeoThreads with the tag #flowers?
This increases awarenesss of the Hive Community Flowers on LeoThreads and earns you extra rewards.
Leothreads Link: https://leofinance.io/threads

A1: Yes I do know. I chose a different flower community to post this in, 9 months ago.

A2: Yes, you made this comment on another of my posts, so I am aware.

@shortsegments Please stop these comments. This post is 9 months old. Why are you making recommendations on my old content to further monetize my work? It makes you sound like a solicitor, not just to me, but to others who view my blog with your comment.

I do enjoy following your blog posts, but these comments on my blog are becoming excessive and redundant, and so I need to address why this is now unwelcome. Can we remain friendly, commenting exclusively related to the content blogged about, and less about how I should run my account?

I am not motivated to earn extra rewards on LeoThreads. I have stated previously why I choose not to participate in any of the Leo communities or platforms. This isn't something I want to further discuss.

My goal is to interact with others with similar interests, and view similar content. Any rewards I earn is a bonus. I have no interest in working to further increase my rewards beyond what I receive through the Hive communities and tags I choose to help people find it, within the 7 day earning period.

To me, it should be fun and easy to interact here, and less motivated by earnings. Motivation of money makes it very challenging for me to discern which of my followers comments are genuine, and which ones are simply looking for cheap rewards. Sometimes people post for a little bit of both reasons.

It matters to me what kind of comments I receive on my blog, as this is also reflection of my reputation and character, and the little community I am cultivating.
