Hi there and welcome to my vlog, my name is Erik Gustafsson and I go by the handle @flaxz.

We Are Alive - How To Use Our Tribe Interface - Using Hive Keychain On Your Smartphone

So as you might have heard there is one major problem with using Hivesigner on any tribe interface, and that is that you can't upload images.

This becomes a problem if you want to use a mobile device, and entering your posting key directly is a less secure way to make it work.

The ideal is therefore to use Hive Keychain, and to do that on your smartphone you also need a browser where you can install extentions.

A browser with that functionality is Kiwi Browser, it's based on Chromium and works great with Hive Keychain.

With that set up you are then able to easily use our tribe interface on https://wearealiveand.social/ in a secure way, and it's also easy to switch between accounts as well.

One thing about the Nitrous Condenser which our tribe interface uses, and that is based on the Condenser used by hive.blog, is that it does not scale all too well on mobile, and to remedy that make sure to zoom out just a small bit before interacting with it, that way it is all stable and does not wobble when you swipe.

And finally I uploaded this video to Odysee to see if I could embed the video directly in my post while using our tribe interface to publish the post, it turns out that the embed was not supported, a link to my video is added to the top graphic though, so click on that to watch my video.

Enjoy Watching The Video!

Thank You!

Thank you very much for watching my video, leave your thoughts in the comments below, and ...

Stay Awesome!

Because this is such an awesome post, here is a BBH Tip for you. . Keep up the fantastic work

Once I installed the keychain app in my mobile but couldn't find out how to use, hence uninstalled it. Had no idea about kiwi browser. Maybe, will try. Already using the Tribe interface via brave browser using the posting key.

Yeah I have not tried the keychain app yet, but I hear that they are working on an integrated browser for it, using posting is of course less secure than keychain, but the really big usability issue with that is to switch between accounts, for some reason you need to both logout and delete the site data to make sure that the new login is stable and does not switch back in the middle of a posting operation, keychain does not have that problem, enjoy your day and stay !ALIVE

TBH, in my mobile, most of the time I use ecency. I check the Tribe interface time to time. As I have mentioned above, i used the posting for logging into the Tribe.

Ecency is not something I have used regularly at any time, every time I have tried I just find something missing which I can use in PeakD, and I am a big PeakD junkie, right now I am trying to find the best way to work in the tribe, and which I can also include in the update of the I Am Alive ebook that Rob and I are working on currently, plus posting from the tribe interface is good for our SEO since the Canonical linking will point to it as the original.

I know that posting from the Tribe interface is good for the SEO, but I am mostly a mobile user. Hence, a mobile application is the first choice for me, neither Peakd or any Tribe interface have that. An app is much smoother than the mobile browser, at least to me.

Who is Rob?

Hello. I'm Rob. :) Nice to meet ya. I have two accounts. Me personally: @robwillmann and my upvoting account @threesteps.

I get the pain from mobile use. I wanted to use something smaller than a laptop when I am on the sofa in the evenings. I can use my tablet (android) and bluetooth key\mouse, but I wind up using dapplr for just reading. Not my favorite interface, but until peakD comes out with a true mobile app, it's what I am using when I am on my phone.

The vast majority of the time I am on my laptop and use peakD and whatever frontend I need.

PeakD was looking for an app developer before, I don't think they found one, and I am not sure if they are still pursuing that anymore, but they are the ones who would know how to make a usable mobile app, too bad that Partiko was not continued, that's the app I started with back on the old chain and it worked like a charm.

Well both PeakD and Tribe interfaces can be installed as webapps with Brave or Chrome, I am only on mobile devices with my phone and my tablet, with PeakD you can even get notifications if you want that, and PeakD also have PeakLock as well, for me that works a lot better than Ecency, but to everyone their own.

And Rob is @threesteps and also @robwillmann
