Losing a loved one close to you is tough. I still think of Mom every day. I even talk out loud to her as if she's just around me. Knowing Mom, she's probably roaming freely by now. 😂🤣 I try to remember to be in the moment each day. After all, I have tasks to do. The living, after all, have to keep on living. 😒😒 So, I'm happy to see some buds of what seems like tomatoes in my container garden. We have been attempting to grow this for ages. This is the closest I got to having some fruit from it. I do intend to keep on tending to the container garden.
It was a lovely morning. I take breaks from work and walk in the garden. I just love seeing flowers bloom. I'm on a mission to grow more. In fact, I'd love to have a photo or two of the garden taken from the rooftop. That way, I'll have an idea on how much the greens are growing. I do want the grills fully covered by lovely vines with flowers. 🌿🌺
That's me planting some cat grass seeds. This is my third attempt. I'm using loam soil this time around. I hope it works out well. I have to plan for ordering more loam soil. The shipping fee is pricey! 😂🤣
That's a view of the entire container garden. I'll list today 06.14.2021 on it so I'll know when to take the next photo/s. It would be great to have a monthly record. 😉👍🏼
I'm mindful not only of the plants and container garden but also of the cats. That's Midnight with her new kittens. She just moved them again. 😹😹 these cats indeed have their own mind. I'm grateful for the cats. They keep me company. 😸😸

I didn't see anything that looked at all like tomatoes, but I hope you are correct. I'm days away from getting the first ripe fruit from mine (which are outdoors in the full sun most of the day)
This is my full veggie garden
In there I have that one LARGE tomato plant, several smaller ones, 6 or 7 Okra plants, three Basil, a bunch of Oregano, Poblano, Sweet Bell, and 2 Habanero pepper plants, cucumber and yellow crook neck squash.

What a lovely garden you have! I wish I have a yard too, but that would mean I will need to get out of the city and away from building complexes. In due time perhaps...
I have yet to try my hand with vegetable gardening. I'm into ornamental plants at this time. Maybe once I've learned more about gardening, I could venture into herbs and veggies.

Oh yes, we randomly planted tomato seeds hoping they would grow. I was not in charge of the garden before, and we were never successful in growing them. This is the farthest we have come so far. They are pretty spread out. I had to tie some of them after watching some YT videos. LOL! I'm learning as I'm going along here... I would love to categorize the garden too. One step at a time...

In most all cases I know of, planting seeds is rarely successful, you need to plant the seeds in a tray with dirt so they sprout, THEN plant the seedlings.
That big one with the ripe tomato I bought, in a pot, it was over a foot tall when I put it in the ground, and it has been going strong ever since.

thank you for sharing about your experience. I agree that it will take time. I have lived with Mom almost all my life. The past few months when I began working from home, I got used to being with her the whole morning. Her absence is deeply felt. I pray she is happy now wherever she is. Gardening keeps me busy and the cats keep me company. One day at a time... that's how I take things at the moment.
