Time for another Chooseday edition. Topic for today was inspired by a radio show segment I heard earlier in the day. As you know by now, I work from home. It's Mom's turf during the day so she listens to the radio. I don't mind as the DJ's sometimes play nice songs and I get to sing along. 😂🤣

I do wish I have an option to simply choose being a freelancer. However, given the state of things in my life at the moment, that is not quite practical. For one, day job does cover the bills. That alone somehow gives me a bit of peace of mind. It's tough having to come up with ways of making both ends meet.

So I find the balance -- day job while working on my ultimate goal of doing freelance. I do wish I have more skills like graphic design or coding. It would then be easier to be a freelancer. 🙄🙄 for now, I go with the flow and play it by ear. Times have changed. I suppose we all need to adapt too.

If you consider working on the hive blockchain as a "work of freelancing", then I should say that your are doing pretty well. You have built up a network already and it is paying off. Keep doing.

However, to be more successful as a freelancer, in this era, having a skill in two things is very important. And you have already mentioned them; graphics design and coding. You can try to learn them as well. It will boost up your status as a freelancer.

Freelancing is a great path because you get to work on the projects that you choose. However, I really respect your practical approach of doing what you need to do to support doing what you eventually want to do. Again, we are talking about balance here and you do it very well.

Hi @iamraincrystal - Very interesting topic that you bring up today. From my experience of full time worker and freelancer, there are always pros and cons. Once we work full time, we are well secured in term of monthly income that we can manage accordingly with limited time freedom. And of course, we are a bit lazy along the day with boring for our routine works. Yes, if things go well, you can earn much more than full time as a freelancer with time freedom that need a well manage.

Whatever it is, it is not what you earn but how much you can save.
