Warm greetings all! π π
I want to say to start this post that I am so ridiculously, overwhelmingly grateful for my life. Today was so exquisite, not only in the weather and the intense beauty of Nature all around me, but also the sweet, fun, nourishing connections and interactions with people too. It was Sunday Funday here in Lower Puna, and my goodness was it ever fun.
In the morning I made a batch of my signature popcorn to sell at the beach and The Lawn. I described how I make it in this post. After making popcorn, and getting everything together that we would need for a day out, my partner,@kai-sunrise, and I got picked up at The Sanctuary of The Blue Dragon, where we live, by one of KaΓ―'s friends, Jessica, to go to ecstatic dance at Kalani, just down the road (The Red Road/Kalapana-Kapoho Road/137). Aside from dancing and enjoying (and taking photos of) the beauty around me, I gave Jessica some body and energy work, to assist her with a headache, at KaΓ―'s suggestion. Jessica was extremely grateful, and went on to enjoy the rest of her time dancing.
After dance, we hung out at Kalani for quite a while, then finally went to Kehena, our beloved clothing-optional (since 1955) black-sand beach. We stayed there swimming, playing, nibbling on snacks, marveling at the beauty surrounding us in both the people and Nature, and just savoring being human in such a human-friendly environment.
After Kehena we went to The Lawn to sell the popcorn that I had made in the morning, to get some food, and to enjoy the ever-growing number of people, vendors, and activities. It has become quite a large weekly event now. It's basically another local market with so many vendors selling every manner of things. Super fun, and we made $15 selling popcorn. Not much, but this first time was more a test run, to see how much we'd need, and to refine how we offer it.
Throughout the day, I was taking photos of beauty that I was seeing. Lots of photos of sun and clouds and ocean. Maybe too many, but with this much radiance around me, how could I not try to capture as much as I was able?!?

After dance, sitting in front of the Blue Moon Room, where dance was held, this gorgeous view enthralled me.

Thank you all so much for allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am deeply grateful! π π

You had a wonderful sunday! Being close to nature feels home! It is home! The ocean looks powerful yet peaceful. So all those beach goers were there to watch the eclipse?
Yes indeed! Nature is so important to me! I always want to live very close to the earth and nature. The ocean was quite intense yesterday, and rough, but yes, it is always magestic and peaceful.
I don't think most people at the beach or The Lawn were even aware that there was an eclipse last night. I actually forgot about it myself until KaΓ― reminded me of it. It was very cool to witness. Very lovely!ππ
Thank you for your beautiful words. Would love to experience such gathering as well! Have a wonderful time!
I'm grateful that my words land in such a lovely way. Lower Puna is a truly amazing place in the world, that I wish everyone could experience.
