Wednesday is a day for walking.
I have accumulated a lot of unpublished walks in my archive. It turns out this situation - I took a walk, took a lot of photos, but the day was over, I didn't have time to rework and publish the material. A new day begins, new events and the old material is postponed for 1 day, 2, 3 or more days. And then I remember about this walk and the prepared photos, but the sharpness of thoughts that were during the walk is no longer in my head. When I walk, a report about the walk is already being born in my head.
У меня в архиве скопилось много неопубликованных прогулок. Получается такая ситуация - я погулял, сделал много фотографий, но день закончился, я не успел переработать и опубликовать материал. Начинается новый день, новые события и прежний материал откладывается на 1 день, на 2, 3 и более дня. А потом я помню про эту прогулку и подготовленные фотографии, но в голове уже нет той остроты мыслей, которые были во время прогулки. Когда я гуляю, то в голове у меня уже рождается репортаж о прогулке.
I want to show my walk around my hometown, which I took in February. That was before February 24. This day has set a certain line in events and in thoughts.
And so, a little history.
Kirov was called Vyatka until 1934, and for a very long time (more than 300 years) it was called Khlynov. The first official mention of Vyatka was in 1374. Perhaps there is no more ancient city on the territory of Russia to the east.
The city began to grow strongly during the war years, when evacuated factories and factories arrived from the west of the country, as well as many people arrived.
The new districts for the most part are of absolutely no interest in terms of photography - ordinary Soviet multi-storey boxes - 5 and 9 floors.
It is much more interesting to walk along the old streets, where there are houses built in the 19th and earlier centuries.
Я хочу показать свою прогулку по моему родному городу, которую я совершил в феврале. Это было еще до 24 февраля. Этот день поставил некую черту в событиях и в мыслях.
И так, немного истории.
Киров до 1934 года года назывался Вяткой, а еще очень длительное время (более 300 лет) назывался Хлынов. Первое официальное упоминание о Вятке было в 1374 году. Пожалуй нет более древнего города на территории России в восточную сторону.
Город начал сильно расти в военные годы, когда с запада страны приехали эвакуированные заводы и фабрики, а так же приехало много людей.
Новые районы в основной своей массе совершенно не представляют никакого интереса в плане фотосъемки - обычные советские многоэтажные коробки - 5 и 9 этажей.
Гораздо интереснее гулять по старым улицам, где стоят дома, построенные еще в 19 и более раннем веке.
Currently, many pedestrian paths have been made of paving stones. This is often done at the expense of the owners of the shops, along which this paving stone is laid. In fact, it is not always convenient, but it is believed that in this way these sidewalks break less.
В настоящее время много пешеходных дорожек стали делать из брусчатки. Это часто делается за счет хозяев магазинов, вдоль которых и кладется эта брусчатка. На самом деле это бывает не всегда удобно, но считается, что таким образом меньше ломаются эти тротуары.
Very often old houses are in very poor condition. They don't have their own owner. They belong to the City Administration. By the way, this house is located just 250 meters from the central square of the city, where the administrative building of the regional administration is located.

Often you can still find wooden two-story houses. At the end of the 19th century, they were very common. The first or even ground floors of such houses are often brick, and the top is wooden. Due to the fact that the roadway and sidewalks have been raised over the years, the lower floors have become semi-basement. Can you imagine how it is now inside these houses?

Из-за того, что проезжая часть и тротуары с годами были подняты, нижние этажи стали полуподвальными. А представляете как сейчас внутри этих домов?
These are buildings of the 30s of the last century, the so-called "Stalin houses".
Здания постройки 30-х годов прошлого века, известные как "сталинские дома".
This Is The Central Hotel. It was also built in the 30s of the last century. A whole complex of churches was located on this site. But in those years there was a struggle with religion and many churches and cathedrals on this then central street were destroyed.
Это Центральная Гостиница. Она была построена тоже в 30-х годах прошлого века. На этом месте располагался целый комплекс церквей. Но в те годы шла борьба с вероисповеданием и было уничтожено множество церквей, соборов на этой тогдашней центральной улице.
This is a very interesting and beautiful house. It was built in 1850. A polyclinic is now located in this house, and a dining room is located on the ground floor. Below this building to the intersection with another street are solid buildings of the 19th century.
Вот это очень интересный и красивый дом. Он был построен в 1850 году. В этом доме сейчас расположена поликлиника, а на первом этаже расположена столовая. Ниже этого здания до пересечения с другой улицей идут сплошные постройки 19 века.
Then I went down Moskovskaya Street, just to this beautiful house. on this street, too, there are many houses built in the early 20th century, in which various commercial offices are located, as well as law enforcement agencies. But I didn't notice that my smartphone battery went to 0.
Дальше я пошел по улице Московская, как раз к этому красивому дому. на этой улице тоже имеется много домов постройки начала 20 века, в которых расположены различные коммерческих офисы, а так же силовых структур. Но я не заметил, что моя батарея на смартфоне подошла к 0.
The day was already ending, for some reason crows became very active in this place. They were shouting loudly, actively flying. There are a lot of them gathered in this place, I estimated about 30 tails. Maybe they had some kind of party here. And I tried to get out of there as soon as possible!
День уже заканчивался, почему-от в этом месте очень сильно активизировались вороны. Они громко кричали, активно летали. Их собралось в этом месте очень много, я так прикинул, примерно 30 хвостов. Может у них здесь была какая-то туса. И я постарался оттуда побыстрее уйти!

basement rooms are cheaper in terms of rent. Therefore, people take them intentionally because of the low price.

Kirov is definitely beyond my expectations, a beautiful combination of well-preserved history and nature. Obviously, there is such a cold weather, I just think it kinds of wired for me as an Asia to see this look so quiet. By the way, Thanks @alechi for sharing.

Lovely architecture in design, well looked after sections look incredible, yet run down areas one can see potential to fix up to look great once again.
Big block buildings that came later are most definitely not worth photographing. Thanks for sharing places most never hear about let alone see.

Once people leave premise without security everything is striped bare, this has become a problem over the last 30 years.
Normally homes standing abandoned will be demolished after being inhabited by vagrants, these buildings become dangerous places to even walk past.
