In a beautiful house called CHOCOLATICO ended our day trip to Colonia Tovar, that little dreamy town that makes us feel like in the Germany of yesteryear because of its customs and architecture. It was a perfect day and my only regret of the day was not taking my phone charger with me, but somehow I was able to take pictures even at this, the last stop.
En una hermosa casa llamada CHOCOLATICO terminó nuestro viaje de un día a la Colonia Tovar, ese pequeño pueblito de ensueño que nos hace sentir como en la Alemania de antaño por sus costumbres y arquitectura. Fue un día perfecto y lo único que lamento de ese día fue no haberme llevado el cargador de mi teléfono, pero de alguna manera pude tomar fotografías incluso en esta, la última parada.
We would return to the city on a bus ride, but this was the last stop. This day trip was with my wife and our mothers, but they were already very tired and did not want to get off the bus to enjoy the last experience, I understand them, but I still decided to take a walking tour and visit the Chocolatico house and its facilities. These pictures were not very sharp, I took them with my wife's cell phone, I only configured it with my signature, but I forgot to make other adjustments, but you can still appreciate what I experienced there.
Regresaríamos a la ciudad en un viaje en autobús, pero esta era la última parada. Este paseo de un día fue con mi esposa y nuestras madres, pero ellas ya estaban muy cansadas y no quisieron bajarse del bus a disfrutar de la última experiencia, las entiendo, pero yo igual decidí dar un recorrido a pie y conocer la casa Chocolatico y sus instalaciones. Estas fotografías no quedaron muy nítidas, y es que las tomé con el celular de mi esposa, solo lo configuré con mi firma, pero olvide hacer otros ajustes, aún así se aprecia lo que ahí viví.
Chocolatico was a picturesque experience like all the others I experienced that day. It was night, but the lighting was charming, those little yellow bobbles looked like little fireflies that gave warmth to the visitors. At this place I was greeted with a sample of hot chocolate and given a marshmallow, that really took me by surprise, since it was a small restaurant to sit and eat and drink, but when I got to the back patio was when I saw the bonfire.
Chocolatico fue una experiencia pintoresca como todas las demás que viví ese día. Era de noche, pero la iluminación era encantadora, esos bobillos amarillos parecían pequeñas luciérnagas que daban calor a los visitantes. En este lugar me recibieron con una muestra de chocolate caliente y me dieron un malvavisco, eso sí que me tomó por sorpresa, ya que en sí era un pequeño restaurante para sentarse a comer y beber, pero cuando llegué al patio trasero fue cuando vi la fogata.
People were coming up and roasting their marshmallows, I thought it was great, and it's not an experience I normally do when I'm in the city. It was very cold and the warmth of the flames felt good. I only ate one marshmallow, but I admired seeing the happy people coming over to roast theirs. I remember calling for my mother to get off the bus at that time, and they did, but they were just looking for the bathroom 😅
Las personas se acercaban y asaban sus malvaviscos, me pareció genial, y es que no es una experiencia que se haga normalmente cuando estoy en la ciudad. Hacía mucho frío y el calor de las llamas me sentaba bien. Yo solo comí un malvavisco, pero admiré ver a las personas alegres acercándose a asar los suyas. Recuerdo haber llamado a mi mamá para que se bajarán del autobús en ese momento, y lo hicieron, pero solo buscaban el baño 😅
After appreciating the place, its architecture, the food and the joy of the people I went to the viewpoint, and the good thing about not having almost no battery in my wife's phone is that I only took a picture of the view from there. It is not a very good picture, the darkness of the night, the badly configured lights of the camera and the fog made it impossible for me to insist on looking for more pictures, but I did stay to admire the town hidden among the hills, that place that gave me a nice day with my family and that before leaving I wanted to return, perhaps with more calm to enjoy a little more, and not in a season of so many tourists like the Christmas vacations.
Luego de apreciar un poco el lugar, su arquitectura, la comida y la alegría de la gente me fui hasta el mirador, y lo bueno de no tener casi batería en el teléfono de mi esposa es que solo tomé una fotografía de la vista desde ahí. No es una foto muy buena, la oscuridad de la noche, las luces mal configuradas de la cámara y la neblina hicieron imposible que insistiera en buscar más fotos, pero vaya que sí me quedé a admirar el pueblo escondido entre las colinas, ese lugar que me regaló un día bonito en familia y que antes de irme ya deseaba volver, quizás con más calma para disfrutar un poco más, y no en una temporada de tantos turistas como las vacaciones navideñas.
I don't know how many posts I wrote about a single day in Colonia Tovar, wow it is a very inspiring place. I was with the right people and saw about 10 places of interest during the day. If you are in Venezuela and you don't know La Colonia I invite you to come, there are trips from many places in the country, although the recommendation is to stay at least a full weekend. There are many places to go for a walk and explore calmly in the town. Thanks to everyone who accompanied me on this adventure, especially to @avdesing who commented on all my posts, I hope I wasn't so annoying 🤣 😘
No sé cuántos posts escribí sobre un solo día en la Colonia Tovar, vaya que es un lugar muy inspirador. Estuve con las personas correctas y conocí aproximadamente 10 lugares de interés durante el día. Si estas en Venezuela y no conoces La Colonia pues te invito a venir, salen viajes desde muchos lugares del país, aunque la recomendación es quedarse al menos un fin de semana completo. Hay muchos lugares para salir a caminar y explorar con calma en el pueblo. Gracias a todos los que me acompañaron en esta aventura, especialmente a @avdesing que comentó todos mis post, espero no haber sido tan molesto 🤣 😘

You are absolutely right brother, but believe me they were all very tired hahahaha, I think the sense of adventure ran out a couple of hours before.
