Sometimes life in the process of traveling gives us additional bonuses :)
So, suddenly we arrived in the town Cesme, from where we had to go on the ferry to the island Chios.
After three months in Turkey, we have exhausted our 90-day stay and decided to go to Greece. My son travels by car, so we split up into two companies: my son's family by car, and we by plane to Izmir, and by bus to Cesme. And there we had to meet at a hotel booked by my son. So, forward to new adventures!

When we arrived, we immediately noticed that Turkey is different from the one we are used to in Kemer.
The street where our hotel was supposed to be, was rapidly rising up near the ancient wall and tower.

The architecture here was different than in Kemer. A characteristic feature was the small windows, which closed like doors, and they were painted in bright colors. White houses with colored windows - it looked very positive! And many pots of flowers.

Here we found our Yalcin Hotel. It was necessary to go down the stairs to get to a small cozy reception.

Our room was on the third floor and we went out on the terrace, which overlooked the city and the sea! And we hurried for a walk. After passing the mosque and passing several cafes, we approached the sea, which was very close.

Very nice turquoise buses in Cesme.

We saw again an interesting house that had a wooden covered balcony and pink windows. It looks gorgeous! All these moments of new architecture made our walk joyful!

There was a very interesting promenade. In the form of an alley with arches, and above us were many flowers. Cafes and shops were located here, all very stylish and varied. There was Turkish cuisine, sushi and sweets.
There was a tree with mini tangerines. The same we saw in Kemer, they are very sour in taste. The tree looks like decor.

Darinka sat on the rocks and basked in the rays of the gentle setting sun. A sea cat was basking in the sun nearby )

Here is such a wonderful bonus we got - a walk in the small Turkish town of Cesme, which has mountains other than the high rocky mountains of Kemer. Here they are sloping and the trees on them are round and small. From afar the mountains look like curly :)

In the morning we got up at 6 o'clock to take the ferry and we crossed the bridge over the canal, like little Venice! And across the sea in the distance you could see Greece!

You are welcome @olga.maslievich 😁
I can imagine and see why you fell in love with Turkey 😎
Happy Sunday!

As I told you in your previous post, you have met the blue and white colours :) Aegean is different and more beautiful than south for me. You will the similarity in Chios(Sakız) Island. If you have time, visit Alaçatı as well. It is 10-15 mins away to Çeşme by car. See there the old Greek houses, narrow streets, restaurants. I bet you would fall in love with there.

I looked at this village - really amazing!

IMG_20220619_203135.jpg

I will definitely go there if I return to Cesme.

Sure, Alaçatı is wonderful.

A wonderful walk with blue color: blue building, blue bus, blue sky and blue sea. 👣 Amazing pictures!
