an evening walk in the Cemetery

I am way behind on visiting posts and replying to comments as busy working in the backyard this week, we have friends coming to help with some work this weekend and I have a lot to get ready before they come so it may take me a couple of days to catch up with Wednesday walk posts but I will get to it but maybe not today
This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)
Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk, plus I will be sending some Hive to a selection of those who participate.
Actifit
A good App that works well in conjunction with the Wednesday Walk or any day walk is @actifit, which rewards you with Actifit Tokens and Upvotes, if you use the app to track your steps and do a post of your actifit total each day.
If you do a lot of activity I do recommend you check it out
Make me Smile Collaboration
As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,
Here are the rules for her challenge
Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem,drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT
c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post
And this weeks walk shots are from couple of evening walks through the cemetery near our house, on e acoupleof days when I had not got as many steps as I wanted during the day I headed out a little before sunset and took a walk through the cemetery, got some steps in and a few shots for a post, these wont be in the order I took them but rather just shots I liked and edited for this post starting with this one, where I went for a more moody darker edit bringing out the blues.

On the recent walks the sunsets haven't been that spectacular, but was still nice to getout for a walk, funny thing is two of the nights I was worn out and couldn't be bothered going for a walk we saw from our backyard or out the window some lovely colorful sunsets, nature teasing me LOL
Speaking of not so colorful this next shot I felt worked somewhat well in Mono

I think these shots show its quite an old cemetery but may not show how wellit is maintained, it is always clean and well kept up, almost every day we see the ground team working there

One night we did have a very short burst of nice colors which I captured in this next shot

you may think the colors in sky in this next shot are pretty good but i have to be honest they weren't i decided to play a little with a new feature i noticed in photoshop sky replacement, which I think worked quite well

Your walk suits to this week's theme Halloween, JJ, but this cemetary is a beautiful, nice and friendly one, if you photograph it in such good weather conditions in color.
But in mono it looks like a cemetary should look like in a movie or at Halloween ... a bit scary 😱 😉
At first I thought WOW when I saw that sky, but then it looked a bit familiar to me, because I have also already played a bit with this new feature and photoshop does a great job I believe.

I must admit I was thinking of Halloween when I prepared this post, as I was moving and chopping up the remnants of the trees we had cut down today my wife was puttingup Halloween decorations

My daughter wanted to go to a big Halloween party, but there won't be any parties this year. So she's going to a friend a they'll have a little party at home. I think it's better that way.
Halloween isn't such a big thing here. We haven't known it when we were young, but our kids do, and some are sad that they can't go from door to door to collect sweets 😉

Annd! I think it's about time for me to do another #WednesdayWalk as well! :) I'll have to plan this... Winter has come here in Canada so that provides it's own challenges for sure! But it could be a good opportunity to take some snowy photos. That might be fun!

The cemetery are terrifying, but you with these beautiful images make us see that they have a special charm.

Thanks for the visit, yes a lot of hard work but well worth it having the house set up to our tastes, the cemetery doesn't bother me at all I enjoy the view and it means we have quiet neighbours LOL
You are very right, there is no more tranquility than a cemetery
My mother used to say that we should be afraid of the living and the dead.

Nice photography always, yes the call of the outdoors, even when not able to go far just looking up there is always a splendid view to be had at sunset.

I have been on many walks there and looking for Owls or any interesting birds but had no luck as yet but i will keep looking
Worn out now after a good hard days work but its good to have it maybe one third done

I really like the sepia shot. It fits perfectly with the subject matter. You shouldn't feel bad about being behind. it happens. I think people understand for the most part. Awesome shots!

Funny, we just moved across the street from the largest cemetery in Paramaribo, and we've been planning a #WednesdayWalk there for a few weeks. I'll be posting one today, but not a cemetery one. I really love the hues you captured during the sunset here. !BEER

Exploring cemeteries can be a peaceful and fun time. I haven't been to one in a while though.
Beautiful shots making the cemetery seem magical instead of eerie (although that one monotone one was a little eerie.)
I love the effect of the sky replacement tool you used in the last shot - stunning!

I am fine but my wife had three surgeries and I am busy helping take care of herI'm happy to hear he is fine but sorry to hear about his wife! Thank-you for letting me know what was happening - I hope his wife gets a recovery soon so they can continue to enjoy their retirement!
