Wednesday Walk At Fort Taber
This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)
Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

A visit to Fort Taber
I shared in a recent post shots I took of a Friends Dog at Fort taber, we walked all around the park, and I also got there eary and got some shots which I will share for this post
We had agreed to meet near the beach, so as I was there early I walked and got a few shots starting with this shot of the beach

A little bit about Fort Taber
Fort Taber District or the Fort at Clark's Point is a historic American Civil War-era military fort on Wharf Road within the former Fort Rodman Military Reservation in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The fort is now part of Fort Taber Park, a 47-acre town park located at Clark's Point. Fort Taber was an earthwork built nearby with city resources and garrisoned 1861-1863 until Fort Rodman was ready for service.

And then continued along this path, towards one of the buildings that is a museum and the car Park

It was a nice day and many people were out and about some enjoying the beach, and others like me walking around enjoying the views

Always when I read "Fort" the old wooden Forts from the Western movies come into my mind.
This beach looks nice and you have had great weather that day, although I don't know if the temperatures were high enough for bathing ;)

My weekend has begun already 😁. I'm at my parents house and will go for a hike tomorrow if it doesn't rain but it should be fine. It's quite warm, at least compared to the past days.
I hope your weather is getting better too and you will have a chance to go for a nice morning walk 😊

I hope my comment will be posted because the connection is very bad here on the mountain.
The weather was perfect, almost too hot. Now in the evening it's getting colder and windy. I am completely done, lying in my tent and don't know if I will be able to get up later for sunset, I'm so tired and my feet hurt 🤣 lol
Apart from the rain I hope you have a nice day anyway, my friend 😊

There was no sunset and I didn't sleep a lot because it was windy and cold, but I loved it anyway.
Got up at 4, had a coffee while the horizon turned pink, but there was no sunrise neither, just a bit colour and then she rose. So I packed and hiked back down to the valley ... now I'm walking like a very old man 😂

BEER.That is great that people were able to get out and enjoy the beach. It has been much too cold here lately to really enjoy it. This looks like a cool park. I like the old fort! 46 Acres should give you plenty of areas to explore! Awesome stuff!
What I like about this well a couple of things firstly, LUlu is more careful now about where she walks and this has a long Flat walkway which she can do easily, and secondly its by the water which I love for walking spots :)
this last few days it has been cool and rainy, that was a nice day not warm enough for me to be swimming but others were tougher than me LOL
it is a nice spot for some fresh air and a good walk

you had a pleasant walk. I see that the weather was good, but probably not very warm, because people did not swim in the water. the building of the fort looks very monumental.
that day was nice not warm enough for me to swim but some were out swimming clearly tougher than me lOL

No in the building I shared in this post but there is a museum in a newer building
