Today we have some very exciting news to share with you! Contract opening has made its entrance to the eXode universe and many captains have already received their first shipping from Rekatron, Tom Settler and the Syndicate.
Starting right now, Contract holders will be able to claim their life long deliveries each week!
Every Tuesday, Tom Settlers Premium Buddies will grant you six brand new items for you colonization needs. Every Friday, you will receive ten new weapon packs from your friends at Rekatron and every Sunday, you get three new shots at finding The Kumicho and her friends from the Syndicate.
Talking about The Kumicho, she currently is the rarest card to be found in the whole eXode galaxy! Every card pulled from the Syndicate loot-table has only a 1.1% chance to be The Kumicho. With only three drops per week, finding a copy is a special event indeed. Our fellow Captain @steemmillionaire was the first lucky contract holder to welcome The Kumicho to his collection. But that's not all! Contract opening also introduced the Elite mechanic. Every time a card is found in a Contract or Booster there is a 2% chance that it's going to be an Elite version of that card. Elite cards come with a quality level of +3 compared to their regular counterparts.
Cards of Elite Quality also have the Upgradable perk so you will be able to burn additional copies to increase one of their stats by +1. You will not be able to burn regular cards though. In order to upgrade an Elite card you will need to burn additional Elite Quality copies! So seeing a fully upgraded Elite card even of common rarity will be a rare sight indeed!
Now consider that cards of Elite Quality already start, for some, with double the base cards stats. This means that the top upgraded Elite can be 4 times the stats of the base version! Drones going at 12 Speed instead of 3? With amazing scanners and exploration capacity? That's what top Elite cards can become. Also, when upgrading, you pick the stat you want to upgrade first: That's dynamic leveling at your service!
You could also, in theory, use the Droppable perk to burn your card of Elite Quality and have it dropped to your active colony... but is it really going to be worth it?
