C'est ma première participation au concours "World Photography" et je dois dire que j’apprécie particulièrement le thème de la semaine: Les oiseaux du monde!

I would like to show you pictures of a European Robin, taken in Brittany (France) last Christmas.
European Robins are rather common but I really like the orange and brown combination of colors in their feathers.
Je voudrais vous présenter quelques photos d'un rouge-gorge européen prises sur une plage bretonne le Noël dernier.
Ce sont des oiseaux plutôt communs mais j'aime beaucoup la combinaison du orange et du brun de leurs plumes.
They appear to be always hungry, looking for seeds, bread crumbs, and insects.
When I was a child, we used to put some seeds on a small platform in the garden tree, and robins were always the first to feast!
Ces oiseaux ont toujours l'air affamés et sont constamment à la recherche de graines, miettes de pain ou insectes.
Quand j'étais enfant, nous avions l'habitude de laisser des graines sur une petite plateforme sur l'arbre dans le jardin. Les rouges-gorges étaient toujours les premiers sur les lieux!
I heard a legend a few years ago about the origin of the red color of the robin. According to this legend, after the christ was crucified, a brown robin came to comfort him. While removing the thorns from his head, a drop of blood stained the robin's breast and remained until now.
J'ai entendu il y a quelques années une légende biblique sur l'origine de la tâche rouge des rouges-gorges. Selon cette légende, après que le christ a été crucifié, un rouge-gorge brun vint pour le réconforter. Alors qu'il enlevait les épines plantées dans sa tête, il reçu une goutte de sang sur son poitrail et cette tâche est toujours présente sur les rouges-gorges actuels.

I love the movement on the first shot. The other two pictures look more calmed and steadier, but still awesome. The texture is quite accurate for the scenes. tell me about your lens. Are the pictures edited or these are results from your camera?

Yes I love the movement on the first one too.
These pictures were taken with a Lumix G7 (4:3 sensor, not full size)
The lens was a Panasonic 25 mm f1.7
Since the picture is a bit old I only had the jpeg version so I couldn't do much editing. I still send it to Lightroom for a small light enhancement and cropping.
