Today, September 8 is the day of “La virgen del Valle” in my country, Venezuela, the Patron of the Orient and fishermen. I made it, somehow the roots, the origins are present no matter where you are, I remember going to processions, taking flowers in gratitude and making a photographic record of her celebration as work.

What I never thought of was recreating the Virgen del Valle with my hands, maybe I did dress her. But doing it this way, wow, really surprised me. Faith and family warmth always seek to meet, so today I tribute to her by showing you how I made it as a way to cultivate faith.

To make Virgen del Valle I used these materials: flexible mass, ceramic or porcelain, depending on what they call it where you are, sharp tool to mold the figure, can be a height stick or a small knife, acrylic paint, water and oil to knead.

With the dough we make a triangle, we flatten the base, with the dotted tool we moisten it to proceed to make the figures, I started from the top to down to get the shape of the dress, round the face, then mark horizontally to give the division of the dress, the veil and the base. For the crown, make a cross on the top of the figure and mold to the shape it.
