Hello #hive @onchainart ! , Weekend is coming and since its summer time nothing better than have some sun fun and sea breeze and have some chillaxing time .

Happy to share one of my favorite artworks I have created called Island, A small cartoony town in the middle of the sea where everyone enjoys nice sun and chill sea breeze all year long .

I wanted to create something unique and stylized, So I build up few cubes with colorful textures for a happy mode

• Render Layers

I have used Maya Mentalray physical sun and sky for my lighting, As for the water I have used a normal shader with a wavy bump map for waves effect, As for the color I painted it in photoshop to create color balance between the area around the Island and the far away sea.

For my usual masking and color corrections I used the ID pass for more control

And for the contrast and shadows I have used the AO pass

• Magazines Features

I was very happy to see this artwork getting published in magazines and getting featured, Its always a nice feeling when you put it lots of work into something and you see the end results getting so much hype !

• Advanced Photoshop magazine

I got published in Advanced Photoshop Magazine issue 139 and I was honored to be featured on the cover of the magazine, In the magazine i had written down a tutorial and breakdown on that artwork, And how i used Photoshop while creating and editing the final look

• 3D Creative

Island was featured in 3D Creative Magazine issue 105

---

• INCG Showcase

And all the way from Taiwan I am honored to be published across Asia with INCG Showcase magazine from Taiwan, Got featured in Issue 21

• 3D World Magzine

And I have saved the best for last, One of the biggest and well known magazines in the CGI world is 3D World Magazine, I was very happy to do a small interview with them while getting my work featured there, It was a great honor for me as well because I remember the first time I saw the magazine and I put the idea in my head that I must get featured on this one day, And happy to see the day come :)
