Making wishes is perhaps one of the most natural acts in every person. It is something so tied to the nature of being children, it is the child that lives in us, clinging to the idea that one can always be a child, that one can believe in magic.
Pedir deseos es quizás uno de los actos más naturales en cada persona. Es algo tan atado a la naturaleza de ser niños, es el niño que vive en nosotros, aferrado a la idea de que se puede ser niño siempre, que se puede creer en magia.
Such are desires, a mystique embodied in something everyday that goes beyond the framework of our understanding, that goes beyond our ability to reason.
Así son los deseos, una mística encarnada en algo cotidiano que va mas allá del marco de nuestro entendimiento, que se sale de nuestra capacidad de razonar.
The mystery has a special value for me. We must know how to appreciate the mystery, because only in this way can we keep alive our capacity for wonder.
El misterio tiene para mí un valor especial. Hay que saber apreciar el misterio, porque sólo así podremos mantener viva nuestra capacidad de asombro.
