Today I want to share with you an artwork that I have not finished yet.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un trabajo que aún no termino.

As you know, I usually add the eyes on another side, from where the subject is supposed to be seeing, from their point of view. They may well be found in another part of their body, as well as in an external element, such as an animal, a plant, etc.

Como ustedes saben, suelo agregar los ojos en otro lado, desde donde se supone que el sujeto está viendo, desde su punto de vista Bien puede que de encuentren en otra parte de su cuerpo, como también en un elemento exterior, como un animal, la naturaleza, etc.

I have made this small painting on cardboard for oil paintings, letter size.

Esta pintura pequeña la he realizado en cartulina para óleos, tamaño carta.

Some of you may remember this drawing that I made some time ago. Well, I was working on it for several weeks, despite how small it is. I like this about painting with oils, that the paint takes time to dry and to add new layers you have to wait. I am impatient for some things, but I have felt that the oil allows me to let things flow; giving them their time also makes me take mine. I love it.

Quizás algunos recuerden este dibujo que hice hace algún tiempo. Pues estuve trabajando en él durante varias semanas, a pesar de lo pequeño. Me gusta esto de pintar con óleos, que la pintura tarda en secarse y para añadir capas nuevas debes esperar. Yo soy de naturaleza impaciente para algunas cosas, pero he sentido que el oleo me permite dejar que las cosas fluyan, darles su tiempo también hace que yo me tome el mío. Me encanta.
