Lure - Pure Red Series ( NFT! + Animation)

Red is a seductress’s favorite color, it’s sensual & inviting. To compliment the theme as well as the sensual quality of the muse, one bird came to mind; The Secretary Bird. It’s one of the most beautiful creatures I’ve ever seen, it’s long feathery eyelashes invite you to fall in love with it more. Enjoy the 3rd and final piece in this series!

Process

I made use of Procreate on an iPad for this piece!

I started with a sketch of my muse and the bird, and got painting. I realized it wasn’t looking like what I had in mind, so I started painting again from the same sketch with little modifications. I wasn’t sure where it would lead, but I kept painting while making sure the tonal values were spot on. I wanted the bird to look unique and also like a sketch, so I made dominant use of the pencil brush and I love it!
