La dificultad para mí, estuvo en lo cerca del rostro y el tamaño del dibujo, donde el área de la piel era muy grande. Es la parte más delicada porque tiene que ser lisa y la acuarela seca rápido y produce vetas.

The difficulty for me, was in the nearness of the face and the size of the drawing, where the area of the skin was very big. It is the most delicate part because it has to be smooth and the watercolor dries quickly and produces streaks.
En este dibujo casi no hice líneas a lápiz. Unas pocas me dieron la idea y sabía que prácticamente todo lo haría con el pincel.
In this drawing I hardly made any pencil lines. A few gave me the idea and I knew that I would practically do everything with the brush.
El primer paso fue la piel; el más difícil. Preparé el color y comencé por el hombro para dejar la cara de último.
De igual forma no me ayudó mucho ya que produje muchas vetas. En la frente una línea muy pronunciada en la que tendría que hacer magia para disimularla.
The first step was the skin; the most difficult. I prepared the color and started with the shoulder to leave the face last.
It didn't help me much either since I produced many streaks. In the forehead a very pronounced line in which I would have to do magic to hide it.
Ese error en la frente lo resolví con un mechón. Aquí pinté el pelo; comenzando con un tono rojizo de base para después colocar el marrón e ir oscureciendo.
I solved that mistake on the forehead with a lock of hair. Here I painted the hair; starting with a reddish base tone and then placing the brown one and getting darker.
Aquí finalicé con la acuarela; sabiendo que tendría que darle mucho creyón para suavisar las sombras; no me atreví a usar más acuarela.
Pinté lo que faltaba. Algunos puntos del ojo, el fondo, la blusa y la roca. También le di un poco de brillo en el cabello.
Here I ended up with the watercolor; knowing that I would have to give him a lot of crayon to soften the shadows; I did not dare to use more watercolor.
I painted what was missing. Some spots on the eye, the bottom, the blouse and the rock. I also gave some shine to the hair.
Apliqué mucho creyón, que por la textura del papel se ve con ruido, sobre todo las partes donde más tuve que mejorar las sombras, suavisándolas.
I applied a lot of crayon, which because of the texture of the paper is noisy, especially the parts where I had to improve the shadows the most, softening them.
Ha sido un reto. Creo que debí usar un pincel más grueso y ya para estos casos, uno especial para acuarela, ya que estoy usando unos de lienzo que me prestaron.
It's been a challenge. I think I should have used a thicker brush and for these cases, a special watercolor brush, since I'm using a canvas brush that I borrowed.
