Watchtowers, Gateways and Structures - Inktober Practices

in OnChainArt4 years ago

Heiya, people! I continue to use #Inktober as a conduit for inspiration and discipline, although I'm no longer doing one drawing per day, sometimes I do two or three in one sitting.

These are all practices for my visual narrative project, and while I'll keep updating and expanding upon the concept of the Watchtowers, I'm also designing Gateways, Weapons and other Structures, all of them within the same overarching theme of #Atlantis.

While the Watchtowers were originally developed for surveillance and reconnaissance, they evolved to fulfill many other purposes, some of them mostly leisurely and aesthetic. However, even in these forms, these buildings remained powerful observatories.

The Gateways and the Sentries were also outfitted to withstand diverse environmental conditions, and they were capable of transforming, using the shapeshifting technology that made the Watchtowers so adaptable.

Like many other Atlantean devices, the Watchtowers, the Gateways, the Sentries and other Structures were made of many separate entities that could be repurposed for various tasks. These are some practices in pencil of how the pieces would look on their own.
