Hoy les traigo el proceso de una de mis piezas favoritas del proyecto de las ilustraciones griegas. Se trata de Atalanta, una deidad que la verdad desconocía.
Today I bring you the process of one of my favorite pieces of the Greek illustrations project. It is about Atalanta, a deity I didn't know exist until now.

Después de leer acerca de este personaje de la mitología tuve una idea clara de lo que quería para este personaje. Voy a dejar este enlace a su historia. Esta vez no copiaré un fragmento porque creo que no hace falta.
After reading about this mythology character I had an idea of what I wanted to do. I'm going to leave a Link to her lore. This time I'm not going to leave a fragment of lore, I think it is not necessary.

Esta pieza fue una de las intermedia que hice para el proyecto y aunque hay otra que quedaron mejores, es una de las que a mí me gusta bastante.
I made this piece in between the project and despite there are better pieces than this one, this one got a special place as one of my personal favorites.
El bosquejo lo hice mano y lo rehice en la pc. Quería que tuviese una pose de rastreando huellas o buscando algo en la tierra y un poco alerta. Atalanta era una gran cazadora según la mitología.
I made the sketch for this one by hand and remade it on the PC. I wanted her to have a track-tracking pose or looking for something on the ground and a lucid. Atalanta was an amazing hunter according to mythology.
Para este dibujo no hice un lineado en limpio, decidí hacer un refine sketch y de allí directamente a empezar a pintar.
For this drawing, I didn't make a clean lineart, I decided to use a refined sketch and start painting from that.
Siempre empiezo con el fondo porque para mí es lo más difícil. Uso grandes manchones de pintura para definir las zonas, cual es pasto, árbol, tierra y fondo/bosque.
Defino el origen de la luz para determinar la posición de las sombras.
I always start with the background because that part is the most difficult for me. I use big paint chunks to define the zones, the grass, trees, ground and background, and the forest.
I define the origin of the light to determine the position of the shadows.
Después que defino el fondo y las plantitas, me dedico al personaje y su ropa. Use ropa blanca porque no se me ocurrió mas nada en el momento. Parece que en la antigua Grecia la ropa de color era muy exclusivo.
After I define the background and the plants, I focus on the character and her clothes. I used white clothes because nothing I thought about anything else occurred at the time. It seems in ancient Greece colored clothing was very exclusive.
Le añadí unos detalles extra al personaje, como los ojos y más sombras para que se fundiera un poco con el fondo.
Y así me ha quedado.
I added some extra details to the character, to the eyes, and added more shadows to blend her with the background.
And this is how it looks finish
