Last July I took a trip into the Glen of Downs with model Emily Pigott to explore some of the scenery and play around with the natural material on offer. From the stone walls in hunting lodge that is perched on a hill facing south to the forest and natural stone feature the exist all throughout the amazing hill of Wicklow Ireland.
I'm not certain how this little alcove was formed but it does look like it was created by design.
Some beautiful wooded areas that created lovely light rays. Worth exploring.
And then back to the lodge. Emily the model is an archeologist and was able to give me a whole history of this lodge. Apparently the room where this was shot held exotic animals like tigers and a jaguar that were kept as pets. I wonder if it's actually true.
This was a great place to shoot but the conditions were quite difficult given the time of day. I'm really looking forward to getting back here soon for another shoot.
Shot on Eos R edited in lightroom.
