Today I want to share with you a cartoonish drawing I made of a young Brazilian singer I love since I first listen to her voice. She is Mariana Froes. She is 18. Her style is a mix of MPB (musica popular brasilera) and indie and one of her covers already have more than 33 millions views on Youtube.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un dibujo que hice de una joven cantante brasileña que me encanta desde que escuché su voz por primera vez. Ella es Mariana Froes. Tiene 18 años. Su estilo es una mezcla de MPB (música popular brasileña) e indie y una de sus versiones ya tiene más de 33 millones de visitas en Youtube.

This talented girl is my age and I can't help admiring what she has acomplished already. I love her looks and could not resist trying to capture her charms.

Process
Mariana started making covers two years ago. Her father was a rock fan. Her mother liked brazilian folk music, so she developed a taste for both genres.
Mariana empezó a hacer portadas hace dos años. Su padre era un fanático del rock. A su madre le gustaba la música folclórica brasileña, por lo que desarrolló un gusto por ambos géneros.
She made a cover of a famous song here, Sangue Latino (Latin blood) and her voice is what you hear in that scene of the Brazilian series Invisible City
Hizo un cover de un tema famoso aquí, *Sangue Latino* y su voz es lo que escuchan en esa escena de la serie brasileña *Ciudad Invisible*
I tried to keep the drawing simple, appealing to the main facial features and only two strong colors plus the shadow effects or degradations.
Traté de mantener el dibujo simple, apelando a los rasgos faciales principales y solo a dos colores básicos más los efectos de sombra o degradaciones.
