Special Bed Base Upholstery
Hoy les compartiré el paso a paso del tapizado de una base cama, en esta ocasión es una base especial ya que normalmente se hacen en cuero negro. Hoy veremos una Base cama para niña de hadas.
Today I will share the step by step of the upholstery of a bed base, this time it is a special base since they are normally made of black leather. Today we will see a bed base for a fairy girl.

No son muchos los materiales que se usan para el tapizado de una base cama pero son los suficientes para transformar un armazón de madera en una linda base cama.

Step by Step of the Upholstery
Esqueleto Basecama | Base cama skeleton
Este es el esqueleto de la base cama, como puedes ver es el armazón de la base cama que posteriormente sera tapizado.
This is the skeleton of the bed base, as you can see is the frame of the bed base that will later be upholstered.
Encartonado | Cartoned
Lo primero que hago a la hora de tapizar una base cama es forrar en cartón los que llamamos Esqueleto, este proceso lo llamo encartonado del esqueleto.
The first thing I do when upholstering a bed base is to cover in cardboard what we call Skeleton, this process I call cartoning the skeleton.
Acolchado | Padded
Luego de haber encartonado la base cama procedemos a poner el Acolchado, que es una tela cosida con espuma y es donde posteriormente se pondrá el colchón que prefiera el cliente.
After having boxed the bed base we proceed to put the Padding, which is a fabric sewn with foam and is where the mattress that the customer prefers will be put later.
Postura de Cuero | Leather Posture
Cuando tenemos el acolchado ya instalado en la base cama debemos poner el cuero que será lo que prácticamente termine nuestro trabajo. Este cuero lo aseguramos a la base con grapas y el cuero debe estar bien templado.
When we have the padding already installed on the bed base, we must put the leather that will practically finish our work. We secure this leather to the base with staples and the leather must be well tempered.
Postura de Brione | Brione's stance
Este es el último paso de la tapizada de la base respecto al esqueleto. En este paso le ponernos el Brione que es la tela negra que se ve en la imagen anterior y es la que le da el acabado a la base. Luego de haber asegurado el Brione se instalan las patas plásticas en la base con tornillos de 1 Pulgada de largo.
This is the last step of the base upholstery with respect to the skeleton. In this step we put on the Brione, which is the black fabric that is seen in the previous image and is the one that gives the finish to the base. After the Brione has been secured, the plastic legs are installed on the base with 1-inch long screws.
Postura de Patas | Legs Posture
Después de haber instalado las patas de la base cama procedemos a ponerle el Vinipel para protegerla de que se raye el cuero o se ensucie la base cama.
After having installed the legs of the bed base we proceed to put the Vinipel to protect it from scratching the leather or dirtying the bed base.
Así finalmente es como se le entrega la base cama al cliente.
