mit der veröffentlichung des ersten nft-kunstwerks von käpt´n kalle auf nft-showroom soll der künstler und autor hinter der kampagne im öffentlichen raum um den seemann endlich einmal ordentlich vorgestellt werden, da dies trotz der bald dreijährigen anwesenheit auf der blockchain noch nicht wirklich passiert ist.
how it all began
early the artist and author recognized that he was not of this world. the oppressive tristesse in the cities with the destructive propaganda/advertising flood, the penetrating monitoring of public space, the ever-expanding curtailment of freedom rights, corrupt political actors, disease-causing food, destructive consumption, all this and more seemingly to capsize the life ship of the initiator of the campaign. but without a fight, käpt´n kalle did not want to leave his boat to the raging storm and the overflowing waves, also because he believes in a better world and the reclamation of freedom and self-determination. accordingly, decentralization was an important part of his artistic activity early on. breaking away from the dusty structures of the conventional art business, the demand to creatively raise one's voice, to be able to communicate with people uncensored at any place and to help shape the public space are achievements of self-authorized art in the public space. inspired by great artists like blek le rat, banksy, space invader, many more and the film "exit through the gift shop" käpt'n kalle started his artistic career in 2013.

früh bemerkt der künstler und autor nicht von dieser welt zu sein. die erdrückende tristesse in den städten mit der zerstörerischen propaganda/werbeflut, die penetrante überwachung des öffentlichen raumes, die immer ausuferndere beschneidung von freiheitsrechten, korrupte politische akteure, krankmachende lebensmittel, zerstörerischer konsum, all dem und mehr scheinbar machtlos gegenüber zu stehen drohten das lebensschiff des initiators der kampagne zum kentern zu bringen. doch ohne kampf wollte käpt´n kalle sein boot nicht dem tosenden sturm und den überbordenden wellen überlassen, auch weil er an eine bessere welt und die rückgewinnung der freiheit sowie selbstbestimmung glaubt. dementsprechend war die dezentralisierung früh ein wichtiger bestandteil im künstlerischen handeln. die loslösung von verstaubten zentralen strukturen sowie institutionen des herkömmlichen kunstbetriebes, das verlangen kreativ die stimme zu erheben, unzensiert an jedem ort mit den menschen kommunizieren zu können und den öffentlichen raum mitzugestalten sind errungenschaften der selbstautorisierten kunst im öffentlichen raum. inspiriert von großartigen künstlern wie blek le rat, banksy, space invader, vielen weiteren und dem film "exit through the gift shop" begann käpt´n kalle im jahr 2013 seine künstlerische karriere.

content of the campaign
the portrait of a sailor is a symbol of freedom for the creator. the name kalle also stands for this. it comes from karl and means free man. especially in today's time it is more important than ever to stand up for freedom, if we don't want to end up as alienated, chipped, permanently controlled and monitored zombies in a health dictatorship with permanent vaccinating, home office and curfews.
but the campaign about the head of a sailor contains more than the striving for freedom and self-determination. it questions the forming of public space. the people who finance it and live there do not have any rights to create the area where they live in their own way. instead, the advertising world, with its empty promises, rule the look of every street corner. for the artist it is high time to stand up against this dictatorship. the permanent repetition of the sailors head is to question the behavior of the propaganda monster.
transience and change are also part of the campaign. in connection with the question of the meaning of life. not only art in public spaces is transient, but also the places where it is placed are not permanent. especially lost places are an exciting environment where käpt'n kalle likes to place his art if it fits and can be placed respectfully. in connection with this fact the question of the meaning of life is also a big part of component of the art campaign.
the short half-life has also contributed to the fact that käpt'n kalle has not left it at simply placing his art in public spaces. the photo documentation is just as much a part of his artistic confrontation as the further artistic working with the photographs. so in the meantime, in addition to the numerous photographs, there are also prints and drawings. recently, various works have also been created that can now be purchased as nft artworks.

inhalt der kampagne
das konterfei des seemanns stellt für den urheber ein symbol der freiheit dar. dafür steht auch der name kalle dieser kommt von karl und bedeutet freier mann. gerade in der heutigen zeit ist es wichtiger denn je für die freiheit einzustehen, wenn wir nicht als fremdbestimmte, gechipte, dauerkontrollierte und überwachte zombies im permanenten home office mit ausgangssperren enden wollen.
doch die kampagne um den kopf eines seemannes beinhaltet mehr als das streben nach freiheit und selbstbestimmung. sie stellt die gestaltung des öffentlichen raumes, ohne die mitsprache der menschen, welche diesen finanzieren und täglich teil dessen sind, ebenso in frage wie die werbewelt mit ihren leeren versprechungen, welche vielerorts das aussehen des öffentlichen raumes bestimmt. für den künstler ist es höchste zeit, sich gegen diese diktatur aufzulehnen. die permanente wiederholung des konterfeis soll das verhalten des omnipräsenten propagandamonsters hinterfragen.
vergänglichkeit und veränderung sind auch teil der kampagne. in verbindung mit der frage nach dem sinn des lebens. nicht nur kunst im öffentlichen raum ist vergänglich, auch die orte, an denen sie platziert wird, sind nicht ewig. gerade sogenannte lost places sind ein spannendes umfeld, in dem käpt'n kalle seine kunst gerne sieht, sofern sie an diesen ort passt und respektvoll platziert werden kann. in diesem zusammenhang ist auch die frage nach dem sinn des lebens ein großer bestandteil der kunstkampagne.
die kurze halbwertszeit hat auch dazu beigetragen, dass käpt'n kalle es nicht bei der einfachen platzierung seiner kunst im öffentlichen raum belassen hat. die fotodokumentation ist ebenso teil seiner künstlerischen auseinandersetzung geworden wie die weitere künstlerische bearbeitung der fotos. so gibt es inzwischen neben den zahlreichen fotos auch druckgrafiken und zeichnungen. in letzter zeit sind auch verschiedene werke entstanden, die jetzt als nft-kunstwerke erworben werden können.
neben diesen genannten künstlerischen erzeugnissen muss auch noch die sticker-aktion erwähnung finden. wer ein sticker-liebhaber ist und sich für sticker interessierst, kann gerne kontakt aufnehmen. die klebenden kunstwerke sind neben unzählig anderen auch in berlin im hatch stickermuseum zu finden.

käpt´n kalle is a very thoughful and corious human who not only likes to read. he is also somebody who questions almost everything and philsophized about it. but that is not all. in this way he records his often critical thoughts, experiences, ideas and motives in texts but also sometimes in lyrical form. at this blog gives a visual and written insight in his grapples.

käpt'n kalle ist ein sehr nachdenklicher und kritischer mensch, der nicht nur gerne liest. er ist auch jemand, der vieles hinterfragt und darüber nachsinnt und philsophiert. aber das ist noch nicht alles. so hält er seine oftmals kritischen gedanken, erfahrungen, ideen und motive in texten, aber auch manchmal in lyrischer form fest. an seinen auseinandersetzungen in wort und bild können sie auf diesem blog teilhaben.

so it is possible to travel to this location and see how this place has changed since then.
the name "wall of fame" is based on the place where this artwork was placed. it was a really well known high frequented wall of art in berlin with lot´s of paste ups.

um die gelben ecken herum ist das originalfotografie zu sehen, auf der das werk basiert. die pixelgrafik wurde von hand, ohne filter erstellt und ist wie das bereits verschwundene original kunstwerk im öffentlichen raum einzigartig.wer interesse an diesem werk hat muss sich beeilen, da es nur ein exemplar dieser arbeit existieren wird.(das werk ist bereits verkauft) aber am 16.12. besteht eine neue gelegenheit ein nft-kunstwerk von käptnkalle zu erstehen.
die fotografie, auf der dieses kunstwerk basiert, wurde 2014 aufgenommen. die koordinaten für den genauen standort in berlin finden sie, wie das kunstwerk auch, auf nftshowroom inzwischen unter der rubrik "all created art".
es ist also möglich, zu diesem ort zu reisen und zu betrachten, wie sich der ort seither verändert hat.
der name "wall of fame" bezieht sich auf den ort, an dem dieses kunstwerk platziert war. es war eine sehr bekannte und stark frequentierte kunstwand in berlin mit vielen paste ups.

this wall in berlin has lost a lot of charm. you´ll see it. i was really dissapointed at my last visit. it´s like what´s happen to the whole city. berlin is not anymore the hip and interesting city it used to be. you can see more and more the real face: babylon. i was there many times and every time i came back i thought: "too bad the city has lost even more flair".
it would be great if you come to germany. let me know when the time comes.
