I finally finished all of the scans yesterday :) I painted this last weekend on the balcony as the weather was beautiful. The last few days the weather has been changing constantly but at least it's not too hot yet.
Above is the prompt list that inspired this series. Having a prompt list can make drawing a lot easier, since I don't have to make the hard decision of what to draw. I started the first fish a year ago, but I took a long break from painting. At least I'm back to it :D Also I've noticed I haven't shared the final Dragon Zodiac-Pisces! (coming soon!)
This is the scan, the contrast is a little strong, but even in real life I used quite saturated colors. A bit more saturated than the previous drawings. This is A5 format and I'm pleased to say I finally finished the sketchbook (maybe 1 page left), luckily I have another one.

I like how angry this little guy looks :D
This isn't photo study, so I don't stick to reference as much. It's more to get ideas and see the shape and colors.
I basically blend colors on paper, but I try to not put too much paint at once. The colors are similar to the other fish, but I try for each drawing to have a slightly unique color palette.
This is almost done. The step photos look more washed out than real life because of the strong sunlight. I added a few more details (the eyes and spots) and done!
Tomorrow I hope to share my Terraria (game) base, I decorated it sooo nicely 😂
