Digital Painting Master Study Practice

This is my painting study from this afternoon. Painting two of the figures of the work by the American Illustrator Mead Schaeffer.

After seeing this one particular illustration of his titled 'Head Tide, Good House Keeping Story' I decided I wanted to paint at least some of the characters in it. I liked his heavy brush style and use of composition. I'll be looking at more of his works in the future.

I'm painting a series of master studies at the moment, to get back into digital painting and illustration after weeks of focusing on traditional art.

I might paint more of the characters from the original illustration.
