Butterfly. Flight of Fancy. My Oil Painting

This painting is a kind of creative experiment. I've never painted in such a free style before. I decided to try what would come of it.

The result was a bright butterfly and a great pleasure from the creative process.

The painting is painted with oil paints, several brushes and palette knives.

First I covered the canvas with a thin layer of oil paint. Then I drew a silhouette of a butterfly. And then a real flight of imagination and relaxation began.

Most of all I liked to create an abstract background using palette knives. In these places, the paint is applied with a thicker layer.

I tried to take a closer photo of some fragments of the picture so that you could better see the texture that eventually turned out.

In conclusion, I want to say that creativity helps a lot at least for a while to relax and escape from the harsh reality in which we live today.

Creativity enhances positive emotions, eliminates poor health. Drawing helps me to get rid of stress and get closer to harmony with myself and with the world.

It's not a bad thing for artists to get out of the routine a bit and enjoy some creative time experimenting with materials or creating new themes. I like that the colors harmonize, and I especially like the butterfly wing pattern.
