As usual, the well-known group of participants had their virtual meeting on Saturday evening / afternoon in the HIVE chess club on Lichess.org. Our current leader had big hurdles in the form of insurmountable opponents in the first 5 games and despite tremendous effort in the second half could only land in the lower half of the field. It went very well for me, with an almost won game against the winner, which I had lost due to a careless mistake, I achieved an excellent third place.

Die bekannte Gruppe von Teilnehmern hatte wie üblich am Samstag Abend/Nachmittag ihr virtuelles Treffen im HIVE-Schachclub auf Lichess.org. Unser derzeit Führender hatte große Hürden in Form von unüberwindbaren Gegnern in den ersten 5 Spielen und konnte trotz gewaltiger Anstrengung in der zweiten Hälfte nur in der unteren Hälfte des Feldes landen. Für mich lief es ausgesprochen gut, mit einem fast gewonnen Spiel gegen den Sieger, das ich durch einen Leichtsinnsfehler doch noch verloren hatte, gelang mir ein ausgezeichneter dritter Platz.

I don´t know what happened. Sometimes I am almost blind, and the next day I beat up some 2000+ players. Need to get more consistent.
Also I had a very unfair pairing and a higher opponent rating than most of the others.
