How sad! It makes the WCC title completely meaningless, if the by far best player in the world is not defending. Back then Kasparov rejected for political reasons, Fischer because he had mental problems, but Magnus? "It is not fun" is for me not a valid reason.

Betman does not think it is sad @stayoutoftherz. Simply, this way of deciding World Chess Champion became obsolete. There are ways better suited to modern times.
