Total control over the board

I hope you are spending happy holidays, sharing with your friends and family.

We are a few days away from the end of this 2021 and the truth is that it has been a pleasure for me to share with the hive chess community.

I look back and I am amazed at the growth that the community has had; @schamangerbert and @stayoutoftherz tournaments have established themselves as the most emblematic of the community, for its part @schamangerbert has managed to total 15 seasons in organizing the Saturday tournament and with @stayoutoftherz there are already 9 seasons in which every Friday we enjoy a great level of chess. More recently @chessbrotherspro, a project that @eniolw, @sawko and I are very happy to carry out is taking part on Sundays in which a new ton of players have joined this initiative, for next year we will be announcing the 3rd season so stay tuned.

Also, another great player is entering the hive board, @cryptoniusraptor has brought the great PIZZA, that's right, an amazing project that already has a very active community and an interesting token, I'm really pleased to see these enthusiastic friends in action.

I think I am not exaggerating when I say that the community has evolved considerably, a year ago there was not as much content as today we can see in the feed. Players like @eniolw who has been dedicated for many years to chess coaching of all levels has brought his master classes to the community, with super instructive video lessons has helped several players to continue progressing, especially in the understanding of openings and the general plan of the game.

Something that also strikes me is the number of games shared and commented by users of #hivechess, as well as in the famous splinterlands blockchain game in which players share their battles, this community has served for the same. Players like @amirl, @giuatt07 share their games online, a practice quite important to strengthen skills on platforms like lichess and chess.com.

Tournament streaming has also reached the community @samostically, @giacomone, @anomadsou have been in charge of recording and commenting their games played in #hivechess tournaments as well as analyzing the most interesting positions.

@lighteye has also been quite active in the community, posting quality content and making very enriching suggestions regarding the scoring system of the tournaments, even in the last season of the Friday tournament we could see the implementation of the "lighteye-scoring-system" with interesting results.

@tungphong has impressed us with his level of play, he has taken several times the crown of the championships organized in this community facing the strongest players like @sawko and @jaki01 which shows an incredible fighting spirit, I am very happy to see that players of the highest level are joining hive, this increases the excitement and the desire to continue improving. @tony1294 and @rosmarly who have been good friends of mine for several years accepted my invitation to hive and now they are in the top of the strongest chess players in the blockchain, very happy to see them in this digital space and I hope they continue sharing their analysis, games and continue participating in the tournaments that are constantly taking place in hive.

@pereu4ivatel, a pretty strong player, very constantly publishes new content related to chess and always brings some new idea regarding the organization of tournaments, one thing to highlight is his immersed passion for chess 960.

Also our chssmate @rodrook has had an interesting progress, in fact he recently won one of the chess brothers league prizes by defeating players with a higher ELO.

Of course we have many more users who make life in this ecosystem, excuse me if I don't mention them but I don't know them all xd.

Well, now I share with you the last online game for this year, next week before the end of 2021 I hope to finish with my video series of the games played in the Panamerican, series that you can follow in this link.

I chose this game as it demonstrates very clearly an essential concept in chess, "domination". Many times, instead of memorizing moves it is more important to remember the regular basis of the game, as in any contest, control over your opponent is something desired, limit the opponent's plans and impose our own is necesary to a convincing victory. The domination of the enemy forces is illustrated in a practical way in this match, certainly I made a few mistakes but the lack of mobility of Black cost them dearly in this encounter.

The exchange of the black squared bishop was a failure of strategy by the second player. All the black squares were left very weak and this allowed me to infiltrate these squares.

Perhaps my opponent's intentions were to play a kind of Pelikan but after an unfortunate move with his queen he lost valuable time which allowed me to make an early check on d6 with the knight and in order not to lose the castling he had to exchange his valuable black squared bishop and with this White obtained a good position.

At this point I made an impressionism, but the position is already very complicated for Black and the rook is worth little compared to White's great space advantage.

The game continued a few more moves, the poor development of the black pieces defined the match.

Espero que estén pasando felices fiestas, compartiendo con sus amigos y seres queridos.

Estamos a unos pocos días de finalizar este 2021 y la verdad que ha sido para mi todo un placer compartir con la comunidad ajedrecista de hive.

Miro hacia atrás y me asombra el crecimiento que ha tenido la comunidad; los torneos de @schamangerbert y @stayoutoftherz se han establecido como los más emblemáticos de la comunidad, por su parte @schamangerbert ha logrado totalizar 15 temporadas en la organización del torneo de los sábados y con @stayoutoftherz ya son 9 temporadas en el que cada viernes se disfruta de un gran nivel de ajedrez. Más recientemente @chessbrotherspro, un proyecto con el que muy gustosamente estamos llevando a cabo @eniolw, @sawko y yo está tomando partido los días domingo en el que una nueva oleada de jugadores se han sumado a esta iniciativa, para el próximo año estaremos anunciado la 3era temporada asi que manténganse al tanto.

Así mismo, otro gran jugador está entrando en el terreno del tablero en hive, @cryptoniusraptor ha traído la gran PIZZA!, así es, un increíble proyecto que ya cuenta con una muy activa comunidad y un interesante token, la verdad que me complace ver estos amigos entusiastas en acción.

Creo que no exagero cuando digo que la comunidad ha evolucionado considerablemente, hace un año no había tanto contenido como hoy en día podemos ver en el feed. Jugadores como @eniolw quien se ha dedicado durante muchos años al coaching de ajedrez de todos los niveles ha traído sus clases magistrales a la comunidad, con lecciones en videos súper instructivas ha ayudado a varios jugadores a seguir progresando, especialmente en la compresión de aperturas y el plan general de la partida.

Algo que también me llama la atención es el número de partidas compartidas y comentadas por parte de los usuarios de #hivechess, así como en el famoso juego de la blockchain splinterlands en la que los jugadores comparten sus batallas, esta comunidad ha servido para lo propio. Jugadores como @amirl, @giuatt07 comparten sus juegos en linea, una practica bastante importante para fortalecer las habilidades sobre las plataformas como lichess y chess.com.

El streaming de los torneos también ha llegado a la comunidad @samostically, @giacomone, @anomadsou se han encargado de grabar y comentar sus partidas jugadas en los torneos de #hivechess así como el de analizar las posiciones más interesantes.

@lighteye también ha estado bastante activo en la comunidad, posteando contenido de calidad y haciendo muy enriquecedoras sugerencias referentes al sistema de puntuación de los torneos, incluso en la ultima temporada del torneo de los viernes pudimos ver la implementación del “lighteye-scoring-system” con interesantes resultados.

@tungphong nos ha impresionado con su nivel de juego, se ha llevado varias veces la corona de los campeonatos organizados en esta comunidad haciendo frente a los jugadores más fuertes como @sawko y @jaki01 lo cual demuestra un increíble espíritu de lucha, me alegra mucho ver que jugadores del más alto nivel se estén integrando a hive, esto aumenta la emoción y las ganas de seguir mejorando. @tony1294 y @rosmarly quienes han sido buenos amigos míos por varios años aceptaron mi invitación a hive y ahora están en el top de ajedrecistas más fuertes de la blockchain, muy contento por verlos en este espacio digital y espero que sigan compartiendo sus análisis, partidas y sigan participando en los torneos que constantemente se realizan en hive.

@pereu4ivatel, un jugador bastante fuerte, muy constantemente publica contenido novedoso relacionado con el ajedrez y siempre aporta alguna nueva idea con respecto a la organización de torneos, una cosa a resaltar es su inmersa pasión por el ajedrez 960.

También nuestro compañero @rodrook ha tenido un interesante progreso, de hecho recientemente ganó uno de los premios de la liga chess brothers al derrotar a jugadores con un ELO superior.

Por supuesto tenemos a muchos más usuarios que hacen vida en este ecosistema, me disculpan si no los menciono pero no los conozco a todos xd.

Esta partida la seleccione pues demuestra muy claramente un concepto esencial en ajedrez, “la dominación”. Muchas veces, en vez de memorizar jugadas es más importante recordar los principios elementales del juego, como en cualquier contienda, el control sobre tu rival es algo deseado, limitar los planes del adversario e imponer los nuestros es primordial de cara a una contundente victoria. El dominio de las fuerzas enemigas se ilustra de manera practica en este match, ciertamente cometí unas cuantas impresiones pero la falta de movilidad de las negras les costó muy caro en este encuentro.

El cambio del alfil de casillas negras fue un fallo en la estrategia planteada por el segundo jugador. Todas las casillas negras quedaron muy débiles y esto permitió que me infiltrara por estos escaques.

Tal vez las intenciones de mi rival era jugar una especie de Pelikan pero tras un movimiento desafortunado con su dama perdió un tiempo valioso con lo que me permitió hacer un temprano jaque en d6 con el caballo y para no perder el enroque tuvo que cambiar su valioso alfil de casillas negras y con esto las blancas obtienen una buena posición.

En este momento cometo una impresionismo, pero ya posición es muy complicada para las negras y la torre vale poco en comparación con la gran ventaja de espacio que tienen las blancas

La partida continuo unas cuantas jugadas más, el poco desarrollo de las piezas negras definió el match.
