2 days ago a good friend of mine texted me that i should see this anime and that i am gonna love it. Truth be told, whenever that friend suggests anime to me, i never watch them. The reason is that he particularly likes Harem, you can say he is addicted to it.

On the other hand, you got me that i don't like Harem at all. So the moment he texted me and i saw the front image, the same that you can see above, i instantly thought "that's another no from me"

Because i am a cool person though, i checked the genre just to make sure, and to my surprise, i saw nowhere the word Harem to be written. You can imagine my surprise... Anyway, i hoped right to it and finished it in 2 days, because that's what heroes do!

Generic Info

So this is a new anime that aired on October 4 of 2020 and has in total 13 episodes. To my surprise, it isn't considered Harem, but it's categorized as Psychological, Super Power, Supernatural, Thriller.

Last but not least, the studio behind is the well-known studio Bridge, the same studio behind Fairy Tail!

Plot

So apparently 50 years ago some creatures appeared in the world and made a mess killing people and stuff. These creatures are called "enemies of humanity" and the army can't easily deal with them.

That's why there are certain people with "talents", or in other words superpowers that can easily deal with these vile creatures. For that reason, there is a special academy on a secluded island that trains teens in order to learn how to use their powers.

It reminds My Hero Academia, right?

Well, it's not even close to that but let's move on. On that Island, there is a teen named Nanao Nakajima who seemingly has not talent and is a victim of constant bullying. During the first episode, 2 new students arrive on the island Kyouya Onodera who doesn't reveal his "talent" and Nana Hiiragi who can read minds.

Everyone has secrets though and teens are starting to disappearing while many of these secrets are slowly revealed!

The Good and The Bad

What i really like about this anime is the plot. It caught me off guard, to be honest. Also, i really like the psychological and careful approach that is shown. i can't reveal much because i don't wanna spoil anything but they have given a lot of attention to details.

At some point, i thought, "how much time did the author put to think all of these aspects and details" I have also read the manga and it's quite fascinating as well! The only bad thing is some characters that don't seem to have the same development or solid background as others.

All in all, it's really worth your time, especially if you want something different and clever to watch. By watching almost the entire episode, you may think "what the f@@@ am i watching" but after you watch the last scene, i bet you will continue watching!
