I keep telling myself I'm going to study Japanese, but I'm busy so even if I can concentrate, I have so much going on in my life and at Hive. Finally I found a way to kill two birds with one stone. It's my first time to review an anime. It's been over 10 years since I've seen this. At first I didn't like anime so much. When I came to Japan I had only really enjoyed Naruto and Evangalion and didn't feel very interested in it. But when I discovered Satoshi Kon, I realized that this was an artform worth exploring.
I wonder if anyone else here knows Paranoia Agent. It left a huge impression on me, but I can't remember the plot very well, just that I loved it. I'll be reviewing it as part of my studies.
ずっと日本語を勉強しようと思ってますけど、いろいろ忙しくて、集中できても人生でもHIVEでもいろいろなプロジェクトをしていますから,やっと一石二鳥でできる方法を見つかったんです。初めてなんですけどアニメをレビューしようかなと。。。もう十年見てないアニメですけど。もともとアニメあまり好きじゃなかったです。日本に来た時なるととEvengalionぐらい見たことあってそこまで興味なかったんです。今敏のアニメでなんかすごい面白いアニメもあるなーと思ってきた。
妄想代理人ってわかる人いないのかな？ すごい印象付けたアニメでしたけど、ストリーはそんなに覚えてなくて好きだったぐらい覚えてます。また日本語の勉強しながらHiveでレビューをします！
This intro is incredible. I start laughing as soon as it starts, it's just so adorable. Am I the only one who feels this way?
The first time I watch this anime, the best way I could describe it was "metaphysical". I can't remember the details. A kid is running around hitting people with bats and becomes something of a monstrous legend. That much I remember. I remember it seemed to analyze the way hysteria manifests. Recently everyone is paying attention to Trump and Corona and no one knows what is real. These things can practically be called phenomenon, but how do they grow into such controversial and confusing topics? For example, at first everyone though Trump would definitely lose, but the impossible became reality. That is what this anime is about.

初めて見たときこのアニメはけっこうメタフィジカルだとおもったが詳細おぼえてないんだからまだ詳しくできない。子供がいろいろな人をバットで殴ってその子が伝説な怪物みたいなものになる。それぐらい覚えてます。とにかくヒステリアをちゃんと分析しているアニメだと覚えてます。最近トランプのドラマとかコロナのこわさから逃げられない状態で何が本当か何が嘘かみんなしらなくなっているじょうたいですけど、こういうものはどうやってそんなやばくなるでしょう？例えば最初トランプは絶対負けるわけじゃないでしょうってみんな思っててどうやってそういうあり得ないことが現実になる。このアニメはそういうことについて話してます。
The main character,Sagi is attacked in what seems like it may be a delusion but probably isn't. This anime from start to finish has you wondering what is real and what is a delusion and if there is any difference between reality and illusion. The main character can't be trusted, similar to Fight Club and Mr. Robot.
鷺という主人公がぶつけられて妄想みたいなことですけど、そうじゃないかもしれない。。このアニメは最初から最後まで何が本当か何が妄想か、本当は妄想と混ざっているなのかって疑います。主人公を信じられないすとりーです。ミースターロボットとファイトクラブの主人公みたいに。
The sick old man and the homeless old woman seem to be minor characters but I doubt that's the case. The character that Miss Sagi created starts talking to her...is it magic or a delusion or somehow both? She asks for some magic to create her new character and seems to pray to the old character. That's when the boy appears. It's almost like a spell.
病気なお爺さんとホームレスのおばあさんは大事な人物ではないみたいで助戸、そうじゃないでしょう。鷺さんは作ったキャラクタのぬいぐるみがしゃべった時は魔法か妄想かしらない。どっちでもあるかな？ 「魔法ちょうだい」といった時、ちょうどその時バットを持っている子供が出てきた。呪いじゃないですか？
The boy says "I'm home". What? Do they know each other? Where did he go? Where did he come back from? This is the mystery that draws us in. It all feels like there is some deep meaning behind it, and knowing Satoshi Kon, he won't disappoint. I wonder if 510 has some special meaning behind it other than Miss Sagi's hospital room.
少年は「ただいま」と言ってどういう意味？知り合い？どこに行った？どこから戻った？鷺さんと少年とこのキャラクタがつながっているみたいですけど何の繋がりかまだわからない。そういうミステリーが面白くてもっと知りたいでしょう。５１０って部屋ナンバー以外ほかの意味あるかな？
This anime makes me want to analyze every single detail so I can't help but search deep for connections. I want to say more but I need to pretend I've never seen it. I barely remember it though, so it's as if I've never seen it.
このアニメを見ると詳細全部分析したくて、もっと深い意味を探さずにはいかない。これ以上もっと言いたいんだけど見たことないふりをしなくちゃいけない。まああまり覚えていないけど！
I'm watching each episode 3 times. First in Japanese with Japanese subtitles, then in English then in Japanese again. It's part of my effort to increase my Japanese vocabulary and review.
