Hola Hivers, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algo muy personal de esta travesía llamada “El Lienzo Eres Tú” . Si tienes tiempo leyéndome conoces parte de mi historia con el arte y mi reconocimiento en el mismo, lo increíble que ha sido para mí la expresión de tantas cosas entre pinturas y costuras. Hoy el autorretrato es el protagonista, porque ha sido un ejemplo perfecto que cuando te haces consciente de ser uno con tu talento la fuente de inspiración, sanación y auto compañía es inacabable.
Hi Hivers, today I want to share with you something very personal about this journey called "El Lienzo Eres Tú" (The Canvas Is You). If you have been reading me for some time you know part of my history with art and my recognition in it, how incredible it has been for me the expression of so many things between paintings and sewing. Today the self-portrait is the protagonist, because it has been a perfect example that when you become aware of being one with your talent, the source of inspiration, healing and self-companionship is endless.
El retrato es la representación detallada de una persona o animal, el autorretrato es cuando lo haces contigo. En la actualidad la mayoría alguna vez se ha hecho un “selfie”, pero ¿qué pasa cuando lo haces desde el alma, experimentando otras técnicas? Frida una vez dijo : «Me pinto a mí misma porque soy a quien mejor conozco»
The portrait is the detailed representation of a person or animal, the self-portrait is when you do it with yourself. Nowadays most of us have taken a selfie, but what happens when you do it from the soul, experimenting with other techniques? Frida once said: "I paint myself because I am the one I know best".
Esa frase se profundizó en mi con en esta serie de retratos, no estaba consciente de ser yo en ellos, hasta que los mostré a otros y vinieron los comentarios: “¿eres tú? ¡se parece a ti!”. En silencio y observando sonreía, mientras comprendía que esa era mi realidad representada a través de mi talento; mis gustos, la necesidad de libertad y expresión de mi yo artista.
That phrase deepened in me with this series of portraits, I was not aware of being me in them, until
I showed them to others and the comments came: "is it you? it looks like you!". Silently and observing I smiled, as I understood that this was my reality represented through my talent; my tastes, the need for freedom and expression of my inner artist.
¿Me conozco mejor? No lo sé, pero me sorprendo de lo que soy capaz desde que acepté tomar el arte como refugio y herramienta de liberación, me ha transformado, he cambiado, veo mi alma en estos retratos, puedo sentir lo que hace mucho quería expresar, ahora sí me siento completa. Reconozco que somos un conjunto de cosas, un rompecabezas, donde cada pieza es un todo y juntas multiplican un universos posibles.
Do I know myself better? I don't know, but I am surprised of what I am capable of since I accepted to take art as a refuge and a tool for liberation, it has transformed me, I have changed, I see my soul in these portraits, I can feel what I wanted to express a long time ago, now I feel complete. I recognize that we are a set of things, a puzzle, where each piece is a whole and together they multiply a possible universe.
No es el final de la travesía, ahora toca la autogestión, ser más consciente de la nueva hippie ejecutiva y mantener el balance entre el ser y el hacer. Totalmente de acuerdo contigo, cuando nos pintamos a nosotros mismos es como si exploráramos dentro de nuestro ser, liberamos nuestros miedos, sueños o estados anímicos... Para mi dibujar y pintar me trae mucha paz y me alegra no ser la única que tiene este sentimiento con el arte.
