Splinterlands art contest | PEMBROOK NYMPH

Un gran saludo a toda la comunidad, esta semana he decidido participar en el concurso de @Splinterlands con una carta que me parece bellísima, pero que le tenia un poco de miedo porque sentía que la dificultad era bastante grande, sin embargo me atreví a hacerla con mucho esfuerzo y cariño, PEMBROOK NYMPH es una carta que tiene muchos elementos y detalles que quizás a primera vista no son tan complicados, pero que notas la complejidad al momento de ponerle mucha atención, un ejemplo claro de ello es que yo jamás había notado que sobre sus manos posaban unos peces, realmente vi esta imagen tantas veces y siempre notaba que tenia una especie de “poder” o algo asi en sus manos, recién hoy cuando estaba terminando el dibujo note los pececitos y quise integrarlos de alguna manera porque me parecen un detalle super mágico y hermoso, elegí ser bastante fiel a la carta original manteniendo muchos de los accesorios y elementos, pues la verdad me parece una carta perfecta visualmente. Espero que les guste.

A big greeting to all the community, this week I decided to participate in @Splinterlands art contest with a card that I think is beautiful, but I was a little afraid because I felt that the difficulty was quite big, however I dared to do it with much effort and love, PEMBROOK NYMPH is a card that has many elements and details that perhaps at first glance are not so complicated, but you notice the complexity when you pay close attention to it, a clear example of this is that I had never noticed that on her hands were some fish, I really saw this image so many times and I always noticed that she had a kind of "power" or something like that in her hands, just today when I was finishing the drawing I noticed the little fishes and I wanted to integrate them somehow because they seem to me a super magical and beautiful detail, I chose to be quite faithful to the original card keeping many of the accessories and elements because I think it is a perfect card visually.

Proceso/Process

Realice el boceto en este caso haciendo el dibujo con un ángulo diferente, el cuerpo se me complico bastante y lo fui modificando mientras pintaba, pues a veces sentía que quedo muy ancha de espalda y otras veces que la falda no estaba bien ubicada. En fin, elegí la paleta de colores para la piel y utilice tonalidades verdes oscuras y claras, comencé a añadir mas tonos para dar forma y luego comenzar a difuminar y crear una piel suave.

I made the sketch in this case making the drawing with a different angle, the body was quite complicated and I was modifying it while I was painting, because sometimes I felt that it was too wide in the back and sometimes the skirt was not well placed.
Anyway, I chose the color palette for the skin and used dark and light green tones, I began to add more tones to give shape and then begin to blur and create a smooth skin.

Una vez que la piel estaba lista empecé a rellenar el resto del dibujo comenzando por el cabello en el cual coloque un tono base morado oscuro y luego agregándole algunos reflejos con un morado mas claro, luego pinte la ropa, creo que fue lo que mas tiempo me llevo pues tenia algunos problemas para pintar los volúmenes y tuve que borrar varias veces el top, la falda si fue un poco mas sencilla ya que simplemente debía pintar unas líneas tenues de sombras y luces que crean los pliegues de la falda, la corona fue todo un reto, pero poco a poco pinte cada caracol y logre darle forma aunque no quedo perfecto siento que esta bien, nunca había pintado caracoles. Puse un fondo oscuro para continuar trabajando un poco mejor.

Once the skin was ready I started to fill in the rest of the drawing starting with the hair in which I put a dark purple base tone and then adding some highlights with a lighter purple, then I painted the clothes, I think it took me more time because I had some problems to paint the volumes and I had to erase several times the top, the skirt was a little easier since I simply had to paint some faint lines of shadows and lights that create the folds of the skirt, the crown was a challenge, but little by little I painted each snail and I managed to give it shape although it was not perfect I feel it is ok, I had never painted snails before.
I put a dark background to continue working a little better.

Hasta este punto no había pensado en el fondo, pero después de un rato se me ocurrió hacer un cielo oscuro y casi gris y debajo agregar algo de agua, así que comencé a pintar ambos elementos y pensé que debía poner algo de agua en frente de ella también, para dar la impresión de que sus pies están sumergidos en el mar, pensé que ya estaba todo listo pero suelo acercar las imágenes de los fanart que hago para ver que detalles pude perder o cuales puedo omitir o modificar a mi gusto, en este momento note los pequeños peces y no quise dejarlos por fuera, aproveche que había pintado agua y quise dibujarlos rodeándola a ella, para que luciesen muy mágicos les di muchísimo brillo y oscurecí un poco la imagen para que asi los peces resaltaran aun más, finalmente aplique un ajuste de color donde no hice cambios tan bruscos pero si quise añadir una tonalidad un poquito mas fría.

Until this point I had not thought about the background, but after a while it occurred to me to make a dark and almost gray sky and underneath add some water, so I started to paint both elements and I thought I should put some water in front of her too, to give the impression that her feet are submerged in the sea, I thought I was all ready but I usually zoom the images of the fanart I do to see what details I could lose or which I can omit or modify to my liking, at this moment I noticed the little fishes and I didn't want to leave them out, I took advantage that I had painted water and I wanted to draw them surrounding her, to make them look very magical I gave them a lot of brightness and I darkened a little the image so the fishes would stand out even more, finally I applied a color adjustment where I didn't make so abrupt changes but I wanted to add a little bit colder tonality.
