Tentacles — Hive

Buen día a toda la comunidad, estas últimas semanas me he relajado bastante y estoy haciendo dibujos sin seguir una secuencia o colección, realmente estoy dibujando lo que se me ocurra basado en cosas que me gustan y me parecen interesantes, hace mucho tiempo que no dibujaba algo con un estilo dar o tentáculos, los tentáculos me gustan mucho sobre todo en este tipo de arte que pretende ser “oscuro” así que pensé en hacer un lindo retrato acompañado de una paleta de color oscura, desaturada, tentáculos y tinta negra, usando un estilo no tan delicado sino mas bien con un poco de textura, algo menos realista y menos suave de lo que suelo hacer normalmente, me encanto muchísimo el resultado y quiero trabajar con mas arte que implique esta atmosfera misteriosa y oscura.

GM to all the community, these last few weeks I have relaxed a lot and I am drawing without following a sequence or collection, I am really drawing whatever comes to mind based on things that I like and I find interesting, I haven't drawn for a long time something with a dark or tentacles style, I really like tentacles especially in this type of art that pretends to be “dark” so I thought I would make a nice portrait accompanied by a dark color palette, desaturated, tentacles and black ink, using a style not so delicate but rather with a bit of texture, somewhat less realistic and less soft than what I usually do, I really loved the result and I want to work with more art that implies this mysterious and dark atmosphere.

Proceso/Process

El boceto inicial seria algo normal, pero luego vino a mi mente esta idea de agregar tentáculos, pero solo agregaría en su ojo derecho, sin embargo, más adelante pensé en agregar también uno al fondo, con la paleta de colores que elegí que va desde tonos muy oscuros y desaturados hasta un azul pálido claro comencé a pintar mi personaje, quite lo que fue mi boceto para guiarme mejor en crear una forma a su rostro y aplicar mejor las sombras y luces, quería elegir un color fantasía para su cabello, pero sentía que no hacia una armonía muy buena para el dibujo, al menos para mi, asi que decidí aplicar un color marrón.

The initial sketch would be something normal, but then this idea of adding tentacles came to my mind, but I would only add in her right eye, however, later I thought of adding one more to the background as well, with the color palette that I chose ranging from very dark and desaturated tones to a light pale blue I began to paint my character, I removed what was my sketch to better guide me in creating a shape for her face and apply a little bit better the shadows and lights, I wanted to choose a fantasy color for her hair, but I felt that it did not make a very good harmony for the drawing, at least for me, so I decided to apply a brown color.

Comencé a formar mucho mejor sus ojos, me enfoqué muchísimo en ellos en esta parte, para poder hacer unos ojos bastante bonitos que llorarían tinta, después de esto comencé a suavizar un poco todo su torso y rostro, para luego rellenar estos tentáculos, y a partir de sombras y luces darle volumen y mejor forma.

I began to form his eyes much better, I focused a lot on them in this part, to be able to make quite beautiful eyes that would cry ink, after this I began to soften her entire torso and face a little, to then fill in these tentacles, and from of shadows and lights give it volume and better shape.

Ya que estaba haciendo partes de una criatura marina, decidí dibujar el fondo con un azul desaturado simulando agua, realmente el fondo original seria marrón, pero me gustó muchísimo probar con este azul y como se veía, para este punto sentía que faltaba algo más y allí fue que pensé en crear otro tentáculo detrás de ella, finalmente aplique algunos ajustes de color para resaltar aun mas los trazos, la claridad de la imagen y un poco de saturación.

Since I was making parts of a sea creature, I decided to draw the background with a desaturated blue simulating water, really the original background would be brown, but I really liked trying this blue and how it looked, at this point I felt that something else was missing and that's when I thought of creating another tentacle behind her, finally I applied some color adjustments to further highlight the strokes, the clarity of the image and a bit of saturation.

Me gustó muchísimo este arte, he estado trabajando en algo muy genial desde anoche, quiero terminarlo pronto para compartirlo con ustedes, se que a muchos les va a gustar la inspiración que tome para esta nueva ilustración, espero que pasen un lindo fin de semana.
