Hello lovely people! It feels like I've been away for weeks, but it's been only a few days, I realize ^^
We've had a big electricity failure here in the valley, and it was a bit of an adventure, to get the power back. The easiest things become difficult sometimes, when you don't speak and understand the local language ^^
But we've had some lovely people to help us and in the end everything went well.
Fortunately we heat and cook with wood, so that was not effected by the power failure. The exhausting thing was the walking up and down the hill to the valley and back several times and the feeling, that there is something that has to be done.
If I would have known, what was going on and that the electricity company would see to the problem, I could have just leaned back, waited and enjoyed the silence and the candlelight. But because we don't know the language, we didn't really know if someone was doing anything, and there were several misunderstandings ^^
So I've had some exciting days, and some unexpected offline time. Which was actually really nice and reminded me, that it's good for me to get away from the screen more often.
I've began drawing again, on actual paper with a real pencil! And I liked it! And I'm going to do it again, probably more often from now on :-)
The painting above is from before the power failure.
I want to do more of that kind of art, playing with the shapes and colors of funny figures. It was a lot of fun to paint this :-)
To me it looks a bit like a weird album cover, maybe for some kind of children's music ^^

Very cool style! I have thought about creating something in this style to get used to my tablet as I'm not familiar with digital drawing yet and really need to find out how to use Krita still (yeah, I know, long time haha).. but I started making a normal drawing instead. Also need to finish it (good reminder lol) .. need to get my creative hat on again.
I hope you make more in this style, although it looks simple, I love it!

Looking forward to see your drawings :-) But sometimes it's just not the time for art, but instead for other important things. I'm very grateful, that I'm able to paint all day at the moment, and enjoy the flow for hours. I want to make the most of it as long as it stays like this :-) But I'm sure, there comes a time, when other things are more important again.

The one I started around new year is themed 2021, so I really should finish it one of these days, in January it's still acceptable, no? :)
It's symbolizing some goals for us this year actually but then in doodle form.
And so right, I really get that, sometimes it flows, sometimes it doesnt. It's all good, but yeah take advantage of it.
Are you staying long there in Bulgaria?
For a while longer. We'll be looking after the house, until the owner comes back from working in France. He said April, but you know how it is with planning these days ^^
True haha.. hard to plan exactly currently, so he's lucky that you guys can take care of the homestead.
It reminds me of a mosaic. I would like such a mosaic on the window. It would look very impressive with the falling sun rays during the day! The beauty!
Ui, that's a great idea actually! As a kid I sometimes made drawings with Window Colors. It's a kind of liquid paint, and you draw either directly on the glass or on transparent film. When it's dried out, it has a rubber-like structure and stays on the glass.
Would be great to make a painting like this for the window!
