Often, to resolve conflicts or situations in life, you have to be a good strategist, play the best move, but taking into account all the possibilities, probabilities and variables that could happen. It's like a big game where you have to try to anticipate the other player's move in order to win the game.
Situations can be simple or difficult, and in the latter case, strategy is more than essential to achieve an optimal result. Many of these circumstances arise in life. Developing a good strategy with intelligence and foresight will bring us closer to a better solution to the problem. Anticipate that we may be attacked in the process and how to avoid that. Part of the strategy is anticipating your opponent's move.
Chess is a wonderful game that can be likened to life, and the objective is to generate, think about and plan the best strategy for moving the right piece, the one that will give us the chance to checkmate.
Design process
I created the design using eight copyright-free images, working on them in twenty-five layers in Photoshop CS6, without using AI.
To build the background, I used one image of the universe and two of nebulae. In the case of the latter two, I developed them in two layers each, changing their position and flipping them horizontally or vertically. These four layers have the lightest colour blend.
On top of them, I placed the first chessboard, which will only appear for a moment in the animation as the game begins. The blend used is lighter in colour. Then I placed the second chess image in two layers with divide and multiply blends, which I would then intersperse in the animation.
On both sides of the design, I placed the first woman in a long dress, and the blends I used are lighter colour and difference. Above all, I worked on the face of the second image of the woman, in three layers with darker colour, focal light and lighter colour blends.
Finally, I worked on the image containing all the chess pieces. I chose this image precisely because it had a transparent background, which allowed me to easily cut and paste each piece and place them on different layers, thus varying the angle and position of each one within the design. I applied the focal light blend to the black pieces and the overexpose colour blend to the white pieces.
The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

Muchas veces para resolver conflictos o situaciones de la vida hay que ser un buen estratega, jugar la mejor jugada, pero teniendo en cuenta todas las posibilidades, las probabilidades y variables que pudieran suceder. Es como un gran juego donde hay que tratar de anticiparse al movimiento del otro jugador tratando de ganar la partida.
Las situaciones pueden ser simples o difíciles y en estas últimas la estrategia es más que fundamental para obtener un óptimo resultado. En la vida se presentan muchas de estas circunstancias. Desarrollar con inteligencia y previsión esa buena estrategia nos acercará a un mejor desarrollo del problema. Prever que podemos ser atacados en el proceso y como evitar eso. Dentro de la estrategia se encuentra la anticipación del movimiento del contrincante.
El juego de ajedrez, es un juego maravilloso que se puede asimilar a la vida y el objetivo es generar, pensar y diagramar la mejor estrategia para mover la pieza indicada, esa que nos dará la posibilidad de hacer jaque mate.
Proceso del diseño
El diseño lo realicé con ocho imágenes libres de derechos de autor, trabajándolas en veinticinco capas dentro del programa Photoshop CS6, sin utilizar IA.
Para construir el fondo usé una imagen del universo y dos de nebulosas. En el caso de estas dos últimas, las desarrolle en dos capas cada una cambiando la posición, volteándolas horizontalmente o verticalmente. Estas cuatro capas tienen la fusión de color más claro.
Sobre ellas coloqué el primer tablero de ajedrez, que sólo aparecerá un instante en la animación como la iniciación del juego. La fusión usada es color más claro. Luego puse la segunda imagen de ajedrez en dos capas con fusiones de dividir y multiplicar y que luego intercalaría en la animación.
A ambos lados del diseño coloqué la primera mujer con un vestido largo y las fusiones que usé son color más claro y diferencia. Sobre todo, lo anterior trabaje el rostro de la segunda imagen de mujer, en tres capas con fusiones de color más oscuro, luz focal y color más claro.
Finalmente trabajé la imagen que contiene todas las piezas de ajedrez. Elegí esta imagen precisamente por tener fondo transparente, lo que me permitió cortar y pegar cada pieza fácilmente, y colocarlas en capas distintas, variando así la inclinación y posición de cada una dentro del diseño. A las piezas negras les coloqué la fusión de luz focal y a las blancas la fusión de sobre exponer color.
La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.

Sometimes I'm also a strategist, I mean really sometimes. Otherwise I'm super sensitive impulsive like that. When I play chess I'm so concentrated and when things are going well for me I manage to ruin it.
But still I manage in everyday life with all that entails. This topic could be talked about to keep it alive. Over the years it has gotten better, when I was young and flighty in my thoughts and lived at 200 km an hour I am well preserved in my way of thinking. In February I turn 70 so I won't complain.
