This is a somewhat experimental work with colors that I just bought and I hope you like it as much as I do.

It arrived in one night like a pie in my face and I had to sketch it quickly so as not to forget it, it was a very poor sketch but it didn't matter because later I would have to do it again.
I was thinking about angels, the new appearance they have been given based on the supposed descriptions in the bible and the book of Enoch and how I could adapt this to my style.
Well, there I had my answer as a most clear epiphany that I had to take advantage of.
The appearance of this angel is a mixture of seraphim and ofanim, with those three pairs of wings and numerous eyes, plus the shape of his halo.
🔅 The Process 🔅
After having made the mini sketch, the next day I transferred it to a cardboard; reused by the way, of 15,2cmX9,5cm, once everything was located, I had to look for references to improve the wings, which looked like those of a plastic chicken.
In the process I not only added detail to the wings but also made the mouth a little bigger and rounded the shape of the nose.
This kind of steps always confuse me because I don't know if I really enjoy it but I stress myself out or if I stress myself out but I enjoy it at the end, in either case I am very pleased with the final result, with those more detailed feathers that you feel you could detach.
With all the graphite part finished I continued with the outlining, which I wanted to do with blue pen for this time, maybe it would give a different touch that would go well with the tone of the colors.
Clearly the eyes had to be lined first...
Soon and with a lot of patience I finished the wings and after that, the rest of the lineart.
I had recently bought some pastel colors that I wanted to use a lot, so I gave them a try as I thought they would go great with the angelical theme so I narrowed down what colors I would use and got started.
With some pink and purple I did the shadows, an old reliable oh yeah.
There was no cream color exactly and much less a brown, so I opted for what seemed to be an orange color for the skin, it adapted well even if it looked a little tanned but in the final result the union of all the colors stood out in a very striking way.
The blue color of her hair also complemented the skin color very well.
The shadows of the hair and other parts I made them with different colors, maybe it was cheating but a little cheating has never killed anyone.
Although it depends of course on it...
I colored with yellow the halo and that headband with eyes and then shaded it with gold and continued to color the tunic by shading it with blue and illuminating it with yellow.
After this I devoted myself entirely to the wings, or at least as much as I could until I went to color another area.
I decided to use a light purple color, which even being pastel I was surprised how light it was, this was not a problem and I started to mark shadows and some textures on the feathers.
To deepen the color further I took the help of another more intense purple color and with this I shaded and detailed.
Once I was done with one of the 6 wings I decided to skip the next one and start applying color on the eye, testing if gold would be the best option and indeed it was.
So after coloring the middle eye I continued with the wings.
With the first pair of wings ready I started to doubt the color of the next ones, I thought of a pink color but when I saw it I knew that if I shaded it with fuchsia I would end up ruining that chromatic palette that turned out to be unplanned.
I went on to shade them with the same purple used before.
I also discarded the idea of the last pair of wings being aquamarine and re-did them in the same color as the first one.
A little yellow illumination.
And some details in blue.
I'm not sure at what point I finished filling in the rest of the eyes but I did.
Finally I set about making the background, originally I wanted it to be pink and yellow but declined as there was pink in the skin and I thought it might blend into something, I used the aquamarine that I had declined shortly before along with green and yellow.
Here I took another leap once the base of the background was done and did the eye lighting with white marker and shading.
Finally I made this cloud pattern... Asian you might say? And I detailed it a bit more by adding a slight pointillism plus white marker dots.
With all that has been written, the work that belongs to my collection of oracles is finished.

Este es un trabajo algo experimental con colores que acababa de comprar y que espero te guste tanto como a mi.

Llegó en una noche como un pastelazo a mi cara y tuve que bocetarla rápidamente para no olvidarla, fue un boceto paupérrimo pero no importaba pues después debería volver a hacerlo.
Andaba pensando en los ángeles, en la nueva apariencia que se les ha dado basada en las supuestas descripciones en la biblia y el libro de Enoc y en cómo podría adaptar esto a mi estilo.
Bueno, allí tuve mi respuesta como una epifanía de lo más clara y que debía aprovechar.
La apariencia de este ángel es una mezcla de serafín y ofanim, con esos tres pares de alas y numerosa cantidad de ojos, además de la forma de su aureola.
🔅 El Proceso 🔅
Tras haber hecho el mini bosquejo, al día siguiente lo pasé a una cartulina; rehusada por cierto, de 15,2cmX9,5cm, una vez con todo ubicado quedaba buscar referencias para mejorar las alas, que parecían las de un pollo de plástico.
En el proceso no solo fui agregándole detalle a las alas sino que también hice un poco más grande la boca y redondeé la forma de la nariz.
Este tipo de pasos siempre me confunde ya que no se si realmente lo disfruto pero me estreso o si me estreso pero al final lo disfruto, en cualquiera de los casos quedo muy agradado con el resultado final, con aquellas plumas más detalladas que sientes que pudieras desprender.
Con toda la parte a grafito finalizada seguía el delineado, el cual quise hacerlo con bolígrafo azul por esta vez, quizás le daría un toque distinto que sentaría bien con la tonalidad de los colores.
Claramente los ojos debían de ser delineados primero…
Pronto y con mucha paciencia terminé las alas y tras esto, el resto del lineart.
Hacía poco había comprado unos colores pastel que quería utilizar mucho, por lo que les di una oportunidad siendo que creí que irían de maravilla con el tema angelical así que delimite qué colores usaría y comencé.
Con algo de rosa y morado hice las sombras, una vieja confiable oh si.
No había un color crema exactamente y mucho menos un café, por lo que opté por lo que parecía ser un color naranja para la piel, se adaptó bien aunque pareciera algo bronceado pero en el resultado final la unión de todos lo colores resaltaban de una forma muy llamativa.
El color azul de su cabello también se complementaba muy bien con el de la piel.
Las sombras del cabello y otras partes las hice con colores distintos, quizás fuera trampa pero una pequeña trampilla nunca ha matado a nadie.
Aunque depende claro de la misma…
Coloreé con amarillo la aureola y aquella diadema con ojos para después sombrear con dorado y proseguí a darle color a la túnica sombreándola con azul e iluminando con amarillo.
Tras esto me dediqué totalmente a las alas, o al menos lo más que pude hasta dirigirme a colorear otra zona.
Decidí usar un color morado claro, el cual incluso siendo pastel me sorprendió lo claro que era, esto no fue un problema y comencé a marcar sombras y algunas texturas en las plumas.
Para profundizar más el color me hice de la ayuda de otro color morado más intenso y con este sombreé y detallé.
Una vez terminé con una de las 6 alas decidí saltarme la siguiente y comenzar a aplicar color en el ojo, probando si el dorado sería la mejor opción y efectivamente.
Por lo que tras colorear el ojo del medio continué con las alas.
Con el primer par de alas listas comencé a dudar del color de las siguientes, pensé en un color rosa pero al verlo supe que si lo sombreaba con fucsia terminaría arruinando aquella paleta cromática que resultaba sin planificación.
Proseguí a sombrearlas con él mismo morado usado anteriormente.
También descarte la idea de que el último par de alas fueran de color aguamarina y volví a hacerlas del mismo color que el primero.
Un poco de iluminación amarilla.
Y algunos detalles en azul.
No estoy seguro en que momento terminé de rellenar los ojos pero lo hice.
Finalmente me dispuse a hacer el fondo,originalmente quería que fuera rosa y amarillo pero decliné ya que había rosa en la piel y creí que podría confundirse en algo, use él aguamarina que poco antes había declinado junto con verde y amarillo.
Aquí di otro salto una vez la base del fondo estuvo hecha e hice la iluminación de los ojos con marcador blanco y di sombra.
Por último hice este patrón de nubes… asiáticas podría decirse? Y detallé un poco más agregando un leve puntillismo además de puntos de marcador blanco.
Ya con todo lo redactado, se dio por terminada la obra que pertenece a mi colección de oráculos.
