Lucid Dreaming
When I was younger, I used to watch a lot of horror movies with my parents. As a result, I had a lot of nightmares when I was a kid. My mom, being a Buddhist, taught me a Mantra and told me that I should always say it repetitively when facing a nightmare. "The mantra will scare all the ghosts and ghouls away", she assured. This basically trained me to consciously recognize fear before saying the mantra and allow me to lucid dream (does that even make sense? lol). When you're lucid dreaming, everything seems real, but you possess the power to influence and/or control your dreams.
Inspiration
While I no longer have nightmares, I am a bit distraught that I no longer lucid dream as much as I used to. Dinner in Space was in one of those dreams. You see, I've recently started watching Hannibal and I've been getting some pretty wild dreams because of it. If you haven't seen the show, it's basically a mixed of Dexter and Criminal Minds. Hannibal, who is a cannibal, would often consume his victims and the people that he despised. In this particular dream, I was having dinner with him.
Why eggs?
Because I love eating them!!!
Shading tabs/Process
Wireframe. You're probably wondering why he got all these bones when he's only a head. Originally, I was going to replace his head with an egg, make him small, and force him to dance for me on the plate, but I realized all those frames would increase my file-size, so I had to improvise in order to meet the conditions of NFTshowroom.
Materials (I've been trying to teach myself how to use nodes and procedural shadings in Blender)
