Greetings dear Hive.blog community, today I bring you another entry to the @Splinterlands contest, this time I chose a character of the dragon genre or race, again it occurred to me to make a humanization, I had previously experimented with the card NECTAR QUEEN, obtaining a quite nice result, this time I wanted to try using as a source of inspiration the card BYZANTINE KITTY, a tender and sweet kitty accompanied by her faithful friends, I completely redesigned her and turned her into a beautiful cat girl. As in the previous project I also enjoy doing it, because it allows me to try different things, besides I keep improving in my art, I think I'm getting better little by little.
Next I show you the step by step of the development of the illustration.
Saludos querida comunidad de Hive.blog, hoy les traigo otra entrada al concurso de @Splinterlands, en esta ocasión elegí a un personaje del género o raza dragón, nuevamente se me ocurrió realizar una humanización, ya anteriormente había experimentado con la carta NECTAR QUEEN, obteniendo un resultado bastante agradable, esta vez quise probar usando como fuente de inspiración la carta BYZANTINE KITTY, una tierna y dulce gatica acompañada de sus fieles amigos, la rediseñe completamente y la convertí en una hermosa chica gato. Como en el anterior proyecto también disfruto mucho realizarlo, ya que me permite probar cosas diferentes, además se seguir mejorando en mi arte, pienso que de a poco voy mejorando.
A continuación les muestro el paso a paso del desarrollo de la ilustración.
Drawing development / Desarrollo ✏️
Taking as a reference the photo that was presented, I made a humanization of the character, adapting to a normal person certain animated and fantasy details that characterizes the original character, in addition, I used the grayscale technique, where we developed the drawing completely in black and white and then apply colors.
Tomando como referencia la foto que se presentó, realice una humanización del personaje, adaptando a una persona normal ciertos detalles animados y fantasiosos que caracteriza al personaje original, además, use la técnica de escala de grises, donde desarrollamos el dibujo completamente en blanco y negro para luego aplicar colores.
First I made a sketch of a beautiful girl, with a tender and sweet expression. Then in different layers I added different shades of gray to each section of the drawing, such as hair, skin, clothes, wings and ears.
Primeramente realice el boceto de una hermosa chica, con una con una expresión tierna y dulce. Luego en diferentes capas fui agrando diferentes tonalidades de grises a cada sección del dibujo, como cabello, piel, vestimenta, alas y orejas.

In this step I was slightly shading the drawing, to achieve volume in it, for this action I used an airbrush and I was lowering the brightness little by little in each pass. Detail the facial features such as the eyes, nose and mouth, as well as the hair and for the clothing I used a wool texture.
En este paso fui sombreando levemente el dibujo, para ir logrando volumen en el mismo, para esta acción use un pincel aerógrafo y fui bajando el brillo poco a poco en cada pasada. Detalle las facciones del rostro como son los ojos, nariz y boca, además, del cabello y para la vestimenta use una textura de lana.

We continued detailing our drawing, now we moved on to the design of the wings, to achieve the texture of the feathers I used a bristle brush, the one I usually use to paint the hair and with small strokes I was recreating each feather. For the pets the process was a little more complex, since to recreate the fur is done through small strokes, simulating each little hair, this same technique is also used for the ears. To finally start applying the color using different mixing methods.
Seguimos detallando nuestro dibujo, ahora pasamos al diseño de las alas, para lograr la textura de las plumas use un pincel de cerdas, el que usualmente uso para pintar el cabello y con pequeñas pasadas iba recreando cada pluma. Para las mascotas el proceso fue un poco más complejo, ya que para recrear el pelaje se realiza a través de pequeños trazos, simulando cada pelito, esta misma técnica también la usamos para las orejas. Para finalmente empezar a aplicar el color usando distintos métodos de mezcla.

As we mentioned in the previous step, for the painting of our drawing we use different mixing methods, among which we can name, color overlay, multiply and add. As I apply color, I play with different shades and layers until I get the desired result. I also recommend playing with the color curve that helps to adjust the values in the design.
Como mencionamos en el paso anterior, para el pintado de nuestro dibujo usamos distintos métodos de mezcla, entre los cuales podemos nombras, superposición de color, multiplicar y añadir. A medida que aplico color, voy jugando con diferentes tonalidades y capas hasta obtener el resultado deseado. También les recomiendo jugar con la curva de colores eso ayuda a ajustar los valores en el diseño.

thanks I think I'm getting better and better with the black and white technique. It gives me more freedom to experiment with textures. I hope that the next works are better.
