Hello everyone dear community, have a happy day, welcome to my art blog. After about 3 months of inactivity on the platform I'm back, I took this time to develop other activities, I wanted to take a break in art and thus renew the energy and artistic vibes, and indeed this period of time helped me to take more love for art, so I came with new energy and ideas to share with you. This time I wanted to resume my participation in the splinterlands art contest, I really like to participate in them because the healthy competition in that community helps you to improve and grow as an artist. My participation for this week was Lorna Shine's letter.

Hola a todos querida comunidad, tengan todos un feliz día, bienvenidos a mi blog de arte. Después de aproximadamente 3 meses de inactividad en la plataforma estoy de vuelta, me tome este tiempo para desarrollar otras actividades, quería tomar un descanso en el arte y así renovar las energías y vibras artísticas, y efectivamente este lapso de tiempo me ayudó a tomarle más amor al arte, por eso vine con las energías e ideas nuevas para compartir con ustedes. En esta ocasión quise retomar la participación en el concurso de arte de splinterlands, me gustan mucho participar en ellos ya que la sana competencia que hay en esa comunidad te ayuda a mejorar y crecer como artista. Mi participación para esta semana fue la carta de Lorna Shine.

Drawing development / Desarrollo ✏️

The White Plains of Khymeria boast an extremely mild climate that allows for some Khymians to live in the elements throughout the year. Lorna Shine is one such Khymian. She wanders throughout the valley, visiting acquaintances and attending celebrations. Her skin is incredibly fair, no matter how much time she spends outdoors, and her red hair shines like a flame as she approaches from a distance at sunset. Lorna carries a huge sword on her back. When the sword is removed from its sheath for combat, it always does magnificent work.

Las Llanuras Blancas de Khymeria presumen de un clima extremadamente suave que permite a algunos khymianos vivir a la intemperie durante todo el año. Lorna Shine es una de ellas. Vaga por el valle, visitando a conocidos y asistiendo a celebraciones. Su piel es increíblemente clara, por mucho tiempo que pase al aire libre, y su pelo rojo brilla como una llama cuando se acerca desde lejos al atardecer. Lorna lleva una enorme espada a la espalda. Cuando saca la espada de su funda para combatir, siempre realiza un magnífico trabajo.

For the few who know me on the platform know that my last drawings were made with the style of black and white, this time I wanted to return to paint directly with colors and give me the freedom to experiment, to draw without so many techniques, so I made the sketch of the character, I wanted a warrior girl in the style of medieval knights, I started applying little saturated colors and mixing them in the same layer, I also divided the drawing into sections to later add the effects and textures.

Para los pocos que me conocen en la plataforma saben que mis últimos dibujos los realizaba con el estilo de blanco y negro, esta vez quise retomar el pintar directamente con los colores y darme la libertad de experimentar, de dibujar sin tantas tecnicas, así que realice el boceto del personaje, quería una chica guerrera al estilo de los caballeros medievales, empecé aplicando colores poco saturados y mezclándolos en la misma capa, también dividí el dibujo en secciones para posteriormente agregarles los efectos y texturas.

I continued drawing the different sections of the armor, to give it a metallic finish I used a marker brush at 50% opacity, this configuration allowed me to make sparkles or recreate the reflective surface that characterizes the metals, I used this same technique for the sword and for the golden accessories that compose the armor. Once I have the base colors with the light and shadow tones I want, I proceed to the rendering of the work, for this I apply different layers of blending, from multiply to make the shadows, add for the glows and soft light to create different shades in the work, mainly in the face, which I use it to place blush on the cheeks and nose. Finally I apply ambient lights to give a warmer touch to the work.

Prosegui dibujando las diferentes secciones de la armadura, para darle un acabado metalizado use un pincel rotulador a una opacidad del 50%, esta configuración me permitio realizar destellos o recrear la superficie reflectante que caracteriza a los metales, esta misma técnica la use para la espada y para los accesorios dorados que compone la armadura. Una vez que tengo los colores base con las tonalidades iluminación y sombras que quiero, procedo al renderizado de la obra, para esto aplicó diferentes capas de mezcla, desde multiplicar para realizar las sombras, añadir para los brillos y luz suave para crear diferentes tonalidades en la obra, principalmente en el rostro, el cual lo uso para colocar rubor en las mejillas y nariz. Ya para finalizar aplico luces de ambiente para darle un toque más cálido a la obra.
