We are geared to GUIDE children, not clear to control them.
As a mother of 3, my partner and I have taken the approach to utilizing the Unschooling Method to raise our children.
Daily, we unplug from the system of what we have been conditioned to know.
We use art, music, yoga and fun to kick start our motivation.
We delve into nature, observe it, play in it, and study it.
We create from within.
We cook and clean together, and fill our bellies with vegan yummies.
We work together with love, compassion, respect, loyalty and commitment.
We are understanding of our differences and uniquenesses, knowing each person has their own mission and purpose to fulfill in life.
With that, together we aim for freedom and peace.
We display and show gratitude for all that we have.
Through our own self discovery, we are evolving into higher consciousness.
In our family, unschooling is our approach to breaking away from the conditioned patterns of authoritarian teaching, and being told what to learn and how to learn it.
Instead, everyone is entitled to learn at their own pace, obtaining and achieving personal desires and interests.
We set the intention to inspire and bring out the best of each of ourselves so that our children/all children can do the same for themselves.
Children are humans with imaginations and rights, and deserve to express their authentic individuality.
They learn how to be responsible for themselves with awareness of lessons to be learned, but with reverent guidance along the journey.
Hi and welcome to Hive. I wish I'd read this when my children were still babies! We didn't even start homeschooling until they were 7 and 9.

My daughter first homeschooled and then progressed to unschooling for most of her elementary school age years. She decided to return for high school and the social element it offered. She received a scholarship and went on to graduate from university to my chagrin but it was her decision to make.
