It's good to pay taxes if you have a good work and you know that your money is going to improve your country. But are we sure about where that will go ? Are we asked about how that money will be used ?
I think that it will be good if goverments will tell citizens about that. I mean to let them choose where they want their money to go exactly. Then citizens should get prove that their money went to the right destination but not used in something else.
But that's not happening and I don't think that will ever happen. This is the world we are living in !
Думаю со времен появления налогов, все могли только догадоваться куда они идут. Не думаю, что что-то изменится в ближайшее будущее. Хотя, реально хотелось бы.

I have long advocated for, with your tax return, you also fill out a form stating which departments of govern-cement gets the money you are sending.
And if a department doesn't get enough funds denoted to it, it is immediately closed down.
This would be proper voting.
