Stupidified by the lack of cellular coverage even while passing through populated rural areas. Noticing the Mercedes van your driving is an entire generation ahead of anything else on the roads. You wish with eyes falling heavier for each passing cluster of trees to be that the sign on the horizon would hurry up and get close enough to read.
A Day. An Age. This Era. Our time of diverse technological advancement at cost of what I have always assumed is common sense. All this technology beneath your ass but none of it functional without its grid.
GPS designed to require internet connection simultaneously just to function leaving you stranded at the times you need it most. The map in the glove compartment grabbed from a info stop becomes a welcomed relief. Technology is great when working within its confines.

I generally start the GPS on my phone before the drive starts because if I lose internet, the GPS is still tracking me. Not sure how, but it does, lol. Proved it driving through no mans land and deserts all across the US, lol.
Yeah satellite internet would be a good upgrade Cam, the GPS is still tracking you even without internet, however you need the net to sync the maps unless you have downloaded them to be used offline, I still hope you have a great weekend and stay awesome.
